Why do you think Breathitt is the favorite? I don't disagree with you. I think Russell will be the underdog until they win out or get beat.

There was nothing wrong with the ref crew. Yes they made some errors in both teams favor. Sometimes we!!! and Me just don't understand the call on the field because the ref does not have a mic on. I for one thought that Mason had four time outs but it appears they only had three. All in all the refs did not make an impact on the final outcome. I stayed after the game to watch the presentations and one thing that just stood out to me was Mason County Head Coach running around talking to each of his players. The Mason players although dejected showed a lot of sportmanship after the game. Thanks to the Russell and Mason county players for giving us all such a great game to watch. It was exciting from start to finish.

It is a shame he is not playing in the golden triangle. Any player who is playing this well would deserve being Mr. Football. The fact of the mater is that he probable won't even be considered. Thats sad.

I understand that it was an inadvertant whistle. That makes the ball dead. With the ball going ten yards and being called dead by an inadvertant whistle I would think the ball would go to the receiving team.

I was glad to see them put Bailey on number 12. It paid off big with the interception in the end zone. Correct me if I'm wrong but #12 scored all three TD's before Bailey came in to cover him.

Russell played a very good game tonight. They showed a lot of guts when they ran 7 plus minutes off the clock to win the game. Mason County played much better than I expected. Great leadership shown by the Russell seniors. :thumb:

The weather report looks good for the game. Temp around 40 with no rain. Ideal conditions. The field will be a bit wet because of the monsoon rains we had last night. I look for a great game on a very muddy field. I hope the turnout is better than last Friday. It was the smallest croud that I think I have ever seen. I'd guess with the mighty Royals coming to town we will have a better turnout. I was a little surprised by the small turnout by Mason fans when we played at Mason County. Maybe they were just waiting to make that trip down the AA.

I could not agree more that He is the front runner in our mind. We are not the ones that vote. I just don't think he has had the exposure that is needed to be Mr. Football. That area of the state just does not have the voters needed to pull it off. In a close one like it is this year I would have to say Mr. Football will come out of the golden triangle.

If we were the ones playing the game it might make a difference. We are not. I can tell you the Russell players and Coaches have one team on their mind and that is Mason County. Mason County only. No other team.

It's not fair for you to pick the favorite after the game has been played. When I say favorite it is assumed that we are utilizing the BGP poll for each of those games.
