  1. Garrard is a very young team. Their two best athletes are Fred Hayes and Tyler Ray. Both are sophomores. The squad includes 18 sophs and only 11 seniors and juniors combined.
  2. I see a BIG win for the Rebs - make it BC - 44 MC - 13
  3. I like the Rebs in this one. Boyle County - 49 Merger County -38 Oops! I never could spell - make that "Mercer"
  4. Super! Gotta luv those in-state kids that truly bleed BLUE! Good luck in pursuit of your athletic dream.
  5. Anyone know the results of this game that was scheduled to be played at Warren Central's gym yesterday afternoon? I know both UK-bound Brown and Edelen were on the rosters. Would like to see box and/or story on game. Thanks for any update.
  6. LexCath Rockcastle Henderson E-town M. North Rose Hill Boone Iroquois LexCath E-town Rose Hill Iroquois LexCath Rose Hill LexCath 170 pts
  7. Graves Co. John Hardin J-town Shelby Co. Warren Central CovCath Madison Central Boyle Co. John Hardin J-town Warren Central Madison Central J-town Warren Central J-town 142 pts.
  8. Boyle County's Brian Staed is the best kept secret in KHSAA basketball for the '05-'06 season. Ask defending state champ South Laurel if the big kid can play. Gotta hunch he'll lead the Rebels to the 12th region crown and a trip to Rupp Arena in March. Hide and watch!!
  9. Boyle County's Brian Stead in the 12th. Big guy (6'9") is announcing today that he'll play @ Georgetown for Happy next year. Seems good choice for both.
  10. Seems we don't have a clearcut favorite in the 12th and our team's (especially Garrard) just aren't very good this season. However, we should have some terrific post-season games at both the district and regional levels. Put the eight teams that make it to the region in a hat, shake'em up good and pour them out in order to pick your winner. I have a gut feeling that Boyle just might win it with Stead making the difference for them in the big games, but I like East as well. I'd make West my third choice. Think the Jessamine teams are happy to be in the 12th instead of the 13th?? Good luck to all teams. Play hard and enjoy the sport!
  11. This is the weakest Garrard boys bb team in 20+ years. Look for the Pats to embarrass the Lions again in this one. However, this game is the nightcap of a DH with the LC and GC girls playing the first game. That should be a dandy with both teams currently playing well at this stage of the season. Coach Teater's gals @ GC are coming off of a BIG win @ Boyle even though their best player was injured in the first quarter of that game and did not return.
  12. lol and lol!!!!!! It's certainly nothing that "publics" know anything about. Maybe the other "privates" have a clue?
  13. Here's my hope for the 4 state champs: A - ncCATHOLIC AA - oCATHOLIC (or DeSales) AAA - lexCATHOLIC AAAA - (one of the big ole louisville)CATHOLICS A great weekend of play for you "privates" and just what us "publics" need to make IT happen!
  14. Bardstown NCC LexCath OCath Belfry Bowling Green St X Trinity 34 pts.
  15. Yes!! Could be one or the other (lol). Most likely it'll be somewhere in between greatness and total disaster. All of the anticipation is one of the things that makes the playoff portion of the season so terrific for us high school football fans. Enjoy!!
  16. Bell County Ft. Campbell Henry Clay Bullitt East Highlands Warren Central DeSales Danville NCC Paintsville 53 pts.
  17. You are missing the boat on Boyle - no way they rank last among the remaining teams. BG is the best then comes a group including Boyle, Highlands, LexCath and Bullitt East.
  18. Look for lotsa points, yards, excitement and entertainment. Based on their regular season battle, this rematch should be another dandy.
