  1. I did not get to go to the Mercer\Madison Central game Saturday night but was shocked to hear the score (25-0) and then to read in the paper and I quote "We are not a team that is going to score a lot of points". I understood that Mercer County strength this year would be their line and their seniors. Throw in the fact that not only are they a senior dominated line with an all senior backfield, some of the kids started on the state championship team. I would be interested to hear from some of the fans that went to the game what they think the issues are, if any. Please be constructive.
  2. Can someone tell when the last time a Mercer County (Harrodsburg) team has been shut out offensively?
  3. Congrats to Tyler Mays. Tyler not only has athletic ability, he has heart. I hope the kids that play against him can see what determination and the drive to win can do.
  4. Mercer County is wanting to get deep into the playoffs and Madison Central had a disappointing scrimmage. Which team is the real deal?
  5. I agree with you. Westsider's boat is taking on water fast. If I understand the analogy that westsider is making, then because Vanderbilt in the past has had poor records against about anybody they played, then the SEC is a weak conference. How about Oklahoma losing their last 4 playoff games? Does that make them a bad team in a weak conference? This is my last comment on this subject, No matter where these kids go play ball, no matter what division, they are realizing a dream not only for themselves but for their family, their community, and for the players that follow them. They should be congradulated for their sacrifice and dedication in order to represent so many people.
  6. I admire the young man for thinking of family first. I was able to see him play some in the 2006 championship game and I have seen Morehead State play. They have some legimate 4.3 running backs and they lost a lot of defensive players. Does he have a preference where he wants to play--offense vs defense?
  7. I believe this is the Georgia Southern team that last year beat Appalachian State who beat Michigan (at Ann Arbor) and went on to win the National Championship Morehead has played in 3 Pioneer championship games (2003-2005). The Pioneer League includes Dayton that has beaten some OVC teams in the past. This could be interpreted as a strong point for the Pioneer League or not much of an endorsement for the OVC. My point is, it is tough to take one game and label an entire conference
  8. Unlike other sports, NCAA college football has a Division 1AA division also. A major realignment came in 1979, when the NCAA established a Division I-AA for schools that have strong over-all athletic programs but aren't among the major football powers. Unlike the Division 1A conferences, these conferences playdown for a championship NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (formerly Division I-AA) Conferences NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision is the new name for Division 1AA effective 2007. Links for the NCAA Division 1AA Football Conferences to our information pages are below. Each page contains all the contact information for the conference and teams. In addition the football conference champions can be accesed from these pages http://www.rauzulusstreet.com/football/college1aa/college1aa.htm
  9. Why did he transfer? What is his 40 time? What is his size?
  10. What is the outlook for this years Titans?
  11. ???What are we missing with this statement???????????
  12. 14-6 Mercer County over Rockcastle County--I believe it is a final
