I don't like the match up personally. Playing Henry Clay will make Pikeville a better team as long as a blowout loss doesn't hurt their confidence. I really don't see what Henry Clay is going to gain from this game. I am a big fan of the Pikeville program and I hope they can make this a good game but it is doubtful at best. With Pikeville's weak district schedule I like seeing Pikeville play tough nondistrict opponents and most years they play the toughest schedule of any Class A school in Eastern Kentucky. With Henry Clay, East Jessamine, Prestonsburg, and Belfry on the schedule this year it is once again a tough nondistrict schedule...I just think Henry Clay may be a little too much.

I hope thats the case because I have heard that it has been a very intense weightlifting/conditioning program. I expect the Panthers to be improved this year in Coach Jackson's 2nd year. Henry Clay will be tough in the Pike County Bowl but playing teams like that can only help a class A school come playoff time.

Paintsville-Daniel Pugh-QB...the best player in the region IMO. Mayo should have a very good year for Pikeville this year. I'm looking forward to watching the Honaker twins in their 2nd year in Coach Jackson's system and weightlifting/conditioning program...these 2 have a lot of potential.

I would expect the usual 3 to be at or near the top of the region...Pikeville, Paintsville, and Johnson Central. I think Belfry is a up and coming program to watch out for in 15th region baseball.

PRP 6 Boyd County 3 Have to go with the Panthers in this one but I hope to see Boyd County take this one. Go Lions!!

Sophomore Daniel Harmon should be Pikeville's top back this upcoming season and he is going to be one of the top backs in the mountains the next 3 years.

Combination of both IMO. Boyd County is the best team in EKY IMO and the 15th Region was way down this year. Boyd County has had good success against the 15th region in tournament play in the past...when was the last time the Lions lost to a 15th region school in tournament play? I know Pikeville beat Boyd County in the 99 sectional tournament, when it was still single elimination, but it doesn't happen very often. Boyd County has a great baseball program...good luck in Lexington!!

Is Coach LeMaster returning next season as head coach at Pikeville? Since he has been at Pikeville he has signed several players from Powell County.

I'll take Boyd County in 2 but will be rooting for Sheldon Clark. Boyd County has had good success against the 15th region champs in the past and as usual they will be very tough to beat. GO CARDS!!
