Bowling and several others and I believe Tyler closed. Boyd County has an outstanding program, with very good high school pitching and a formidable lineup.

 

Sheldon Clark had an excellent regular season and made a great run, through the tournament.

Is Boyd County that good, Sheldon Clark that bad, or a combination of both?

BC's staff should have had that support and confidence the whole time.

BC was dominant, and hit the ball very very well throughout the Semi State. Good Luck at Applebees Lions!

I think that it was a combination of both. BC was obviously dominate in every facet of the series, and quite honestly, I wasn't very impressed with Sheldon Clark. They had some kids who could put the bat on the ball, but were very weak in the field and on the mound.

Combination of both IMO. Boyd County is the best team in EKY IMO and the 15th Region was way down this year. Boyd County has had good success against the 15th region in tournament play in the past...when was the last time the Lions lost to a 15th region school in tournament play? I know Pikeville beat Boyd County in the 99 sectional tournament, when it was still single elimination, but it doesn't happen very often.

 

Boyd County has a great baseball program...good luck in Lexington!!
