That has to be tough on the kid but I guess it's no different than if a new kid unexpectedly transferred in and beat him out.

Did UC not do its due diligence when they hired Bannen from just across the river? Did he have a massive personality metamorphosis when started coaching UC? Didn't UC know what they were getting.....and accepted it as permissible? These are arguments I would bring up if I was representing him in a "termination for cause" action.

I am curious as to what prompted Tierra East of Butler to choose Temple. I don't know if I recall any player - girl or boy - from Jefferson County ever going to play for Temple. Kudos to her. I hope she has a great experience. There is a lot of good college basketball in Philly.

I have no problem with Askew's effort. Because of that he might develop into a good, not great, guard in a year or two. My problem with him this year is that he just never got anything done..........he didn't seem to know what to do.

Ballard should be loaded but I was surprised to learn that their last state championship was in 1999. I know it's tough to win state but it seems that the Bruins should've won at least one since 1999.

Tigerpride--- I love those old photos and clippings. Thanks for posting them. I like Manual's goat mascot (ram). Didn't Wally Butt go on to coach Georgia Tech? Why do all the players look like they are 30 years old? Is it the photography or the newsprint? They look like pretty tough customers.

How many advance college credit hours do colleges allow? Could a really smart kid come back and load up on more of these classes, and then after his 5th year enter college as a second semester sophomore or even a junior? As long as he isn't paying private high school tuition, it might make financial sense to avoid some college tuition.

Congrats to Ballard. I have no complaints about T's season. As a matter of fact, they overachieved a bit IMO.
