  1. Thanks for the info. Congrats Morgan Co. on the win.
  2. Did Morgan play their varsity players? 7-0 is definitely closer than expected, but the game was probably never in question.
  3. When do they play in the All "A" state tourney?
  4. The Raceland game was a fluke. East beat Lewis earlier in the year at Lewis and are now 11-5 on the year.
  5. Wiler would be my bet as well.
  6. I believe GC will throw Greenslate. I have no clue about Boyd Co., but I doubt it is Helms.
  7. This one surprises me as well. I thought Powell Co. was very solid. Good win for Breathitt Co.
  8. East also has 6'6 freshmen Colin Kennedy and 6'4 freshmen Tyler Clay, both should play quality minutes next year.
  9. I believe for the McDonald's Classic the teams are: Harrison Co, Newport Catholic, East Carter, Bishop Brossart, Dixie Heights, and Rowan Co.
  10. How did they do against Johnson Central?
  11. Red Bird, June Buchanan, and Betsy layne??????????????????
  12. Ryan Sagraves fans 11 in 5 innings of 1 hit baseball. East is 8-3 on the season.
  13. He looked good, I am not sure he had 12 K's through 4 innings, but he seemed to have several. He got hit hard early, but kept composure and bounced back.
  14. I heard about this game, 12 runs with 2 outs in the 7th is unbelieveable. Apollo is very good and so is Greenup Co. I watched Apollo play East Carter a couple of days later and East was up 4-3 in the 5th when the rain came. You had that feeling the 1 run lead might not hold up. Apollo looked to have the capability to explode.
  15. The best I have seen are as follows, I have been watching since the mid to late 80's. Greenup Co. Aaron McGlone Raceland Ryan McKenzie Russell Dustin Shaffer Boyd Co. Jake Sperry, Caleb Stewart, JR Hampton Ashland Tony Barrow, Aaron McClelland Fairview Casey Davis Rose Hill ?? East Carter Jamie Swanagan or KW Sexton West Carter Mike Burchett Lawrence Co. Steven Blevins Paintsville Tucker Howard Johnson Central Alex Ward, Matt Fyffe Sheldon Clark Brad Tiller Morgan Co. John Henderson Lewis Co. Chad Mefford Rowan Co. Lorne Frazier
  16. I agree that Logan is an excellent catcher, I am not knocking him in any way, he is top notch. I believe Back has the physical ability to be outstanding, he just needs to concentrate on making better choices in his personal time. If he does, the sky is the limit.
  17. I agree on blocking the ball, but not the arm.
  18. Yes. He is serving a suspension right now, but will be back in 2 weeks. Logan is a great catcher, the smartest in this area. Back just has the physical tools you can't teach, 6'4 and 225 lbs.
  19. Tyler Back of East Carter is the 2nd best catcher and maybe the best. He is 6'4 225 lbs with a canon.
  20. Ryan Sagraves of East Carter fanned 12 against Walton Verona in Cocoa on Monday, and then came back and fanned 11 in a 1-hitter vs Williamstown on Friday in Cocoa.
  21. Final from Vanceburg.
  22. I heard the same thing today. I heard it was a done deal. I guess there may be a coaching search at the hill.
  23. Another example of the KHSAA being completely inconsistent in it's rulings, and not having the backbone to enforce rules and regulations. I was, however, happy to see Mason Co. win the title. Congrats to the Royals!
  24. Robinson is a nice baseball player with a bright future in the sport.
  25. I'll take Paintsville by 4 in somewhat of a surprise!!
