I believe Lewis Co. is better than Raceland. I thought you meant 2nd best team in the region. They are, in my opinion, the 2nd best team in the district.

Lewis Co. doesn't have any pitching. They can hit it, but their defense is average at best, and pitching is not very good.

Keith Prater is a good guy, and would do a good job at whatever he chooses to do.

East goes to 21-10 on the year.

Wow! That is a truly inspiring story. Reading this puts alot of things into perspective.

Raceland couldn't do any better than Randy Vanderhoof. A great man and a great role model. Sometimes the emphasis to win overshadows what is truly important in youth sports, it is then that we must re-evaluate our own thinking. If watching a group of high school kids not play well on the field bothers you that much, than maybe you should abstain from watching KIDS play sports!

Nice game for the kid from Grayson. His two older brothers played for East, I wish him well, he is a good kid.

Greenup is definitely the favorite, but when Hieneman is not on the mound they are very beatable. Especially if someone else has their ace on the hill!

Ashland is having a good season as well, not sure they have the pitching to win the region, but they have a shot.

Ryan Sagraves and Derek Stapleton combine on a 3 hitter with 10 K's. East goes to 19-6 on the season and clinches the #1 seed in district tourney.
