WOW, with authority.

Is Greenup not as good as we think or is Apollo that good.

Good Question, I havent seen either play yet.

Both were good last year. Did either graduate alot of players?

GC graduated 3 or 4, a few were key players, but they are well coached and have talent to fill those holes. IMO, after this maybe they lost more than I thought.

Coupon21 did you see the game and if so how good is Apollo?

I didnt see it. Sorry, I wish I was in Florida watching baseball.

I was there watching Rose Hill and Greenup was playing right beside us. When someone went to ask the score they came back and told me Greenup was winning 4-0 in the sixth innning ,we left and the next morning I was told the score and could not believe it because the time that I did get to watch Greenup looked great and Appollo played great defense but was struggling hitting department. Greenup in my opinion will be very tough in the 16th this year.

Greenslate pitched 6 good innings before handing the ball over to Craft to close out the 7th. Craft was hit hard from the git-go. Greenup brought Rice and someone else, can't remember who. They (Greenup) couldn't get anybody out. Appollo is very solid on the mound and in the field. Greenslate had them guessing all night long. I would like to see both teams #1 guys go at it, could very easily come down to who made the big mistake. Greenup is as good as advertised, just had one bad inning, they'll be fine.:thumb:

Wow a really bad inning, looks like bullpen could be a problem.

Bullpen is suspect, but let's see how the other pitchers develop.

Apollo was held scoreless until they had 2 outs in the 7th, before exploding for 12. Fortunate win. They are now 6-0 on the season.

I could be wrong, but I thought the final score was 12-5. Craft came in with runners on 1st and 2nd and two outs in the bottom of the 7th. At that point, I think Greenup was up 5-0. Craft gave up hit after hit. After 5 or 6 Apollo runs, Reed came in, and it was more of the same. Rice finally came in with the score 11-5, and eventually, after a base hit and a passed ball that scored another run, got the last Apollo out.

If I hadn't been there to see the end, I would have never believed it. 12 runs with 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th. Well done Apollo.
