It may be that Beechwood loses, but after seeing them play the last couple of weeks, they have the ability to not only keep this close, but to pull off a W. Their only real poor loss was to Dixie. A team that has continued to suprise everyone since their loss to CCH. That said, I would have rather had CCH play the birds close. Instead, the Varsity didn't play 4 quaters of hard-faught football and they now have something to proove. So if by "Wrong Time" you mean that, then I have to agree.

Isn't that enough? It's a fun thing for Students, Fans and especially the players. Sounds like everyone is excited. It will be fun to have the Spartan Reunion. Coaches felt it was important enough to not only move the game to Beechwood, but also play on Thursday. The game is on Fox-Ohio.

Dusty son Dylan started at Cov Cath, but then came to Beechwood as a junior I believe. He was all Baseball. Jake is a sophomore this year. Not a starter, but plays on some special teams. Jake is going to be a very solid DB. I was very impressed with him on last year's freshman team.

Well, I'll just say that I normally respect your opinion. In this case, I think you are wrong. I thought it was ugly and back to a very less than dynamic offense for the Tigers. I don't know how the Holmes that played tonight was 3-1. Definitely always happy with a win. So I will agree with you there.

In that district, I wouldn't count on anything until it happens. I believe Cooper is a decent team and Scott just beat them. So Kudos to the kids. Must be very exiting in Taylor Mill.

What really sucks is that this thread was UK#1fan's attempt to stir the pot. IMO, the premise is ridiculous and instead of lashing at him, the really sad thing is that it has led to bashing of Scott. We need to separate the arguments in this thread about their SOS from the opinions of whether or not their schedule good/correct for them and wether or not they are they a good team. I believe Cooper will actually beat them and their current record is misleading, but I --like Hellbird, also believe this is great schedule for the Scott Program right now. As it is said... Rome wasn't built in a day. No matter how it ends for them, for the first time in a long time (or ever) this season will end with positive feelings in the air in Taylor Mill. The players, fans, students will be proud and that is certainly a great way to build a program. Kids will be excited to get to off-season workouts and there will be talk of Football throughout the school year and next summer. Most importanly, there will be expectations of success. So I say Congratulations! to the entire Scott H.S. Family.

OK, I guess we just have to disagree on Dixie and Holy Cross games. I certainly had an issue with not being able to stop Caple. But then I think there aren't a whole lot of Caples out there. Especially in Classs-A football. I stand by what I said. I didn't feel great about the loss for sure, but I saw more positive in the Dixie loss and Certainly the FC loss than I did in either win. I feel like Lima lost that game, we didn't win it. I was ok with it because it was the beginning of the season. Holy Cross is a bad team and we were not able to shut them down early. That should have been a running clock in the first half and Tigers didn't even get it to that point.

With every one of Beechwood's unexpected losses over the years, I haven't ever felt like it was becasue they were looking ahead. Without getting in their heads, you will never know, but I always felt like it was that they simply just didn't come to play. In recent years, there are two games that really standout: Last Year's Holmes Game and (2006?) Lexington Christian Playoff (Yeagle's last game) Holmes is always going to be dangerous. They always have the talent that can blow a door open if you leave it open a bit. They are not to the type of team to kick the doors down on a good team. They have athletes for sure, the discipline is generally not there. If Beechwood doesn't take control and makes mistakes, then it may be a disapointing night. The key difference this year for Beechwood is that the Talent is not concentrated in a few players and overall there is a great deal of speed. The speed has always been the one-thing keeping Holmes in the games vs Beechwood.

For me, this was totally in-doubt until last Friday. Even with a loss, they showed me they are capable. Heck, I felt better in both of Beechwood's losses than I did after the wins.

I'm good with your opinion, but don't say "After listening to the game." FC was a good team and Beechwood played well. They did make some mistakes, but I saw the game and I will give Beechwood credit for making things happen. I will still say that a terrible PI call changed the game. That said, we need to be good enough to make sure that doesn't happen. For the Record... I have no issue with BW's ranking and I will have no issue if it stays the same for a while. The fact is until the FC game, I did not feel good about where we were and probably would have said we were farther down on the list. Although we lost the FC game, despite additional injuries, the style of play was of the type that can win big games. While he made some mistakes, I feel like Feiger turned a corner. The line did a much better (not great) job of blocking when it counted. Now, they need to get a running game going. I believe that opening up the passing game will do that.

When they started this, I believe there was supposed to be a regular rotation. I can buy into the 1a 2a being early games, but the same classes should not be stuck on Friday all the time. I had no issues with this when it was the Friday after Thanksgiving, but it really reduces your fan-base when people have school and work.

I predict that Cooper will end up 2nd or 3rd place in District and this is where it starts for them. If they get their passing game going, then I predict that Scott's bubble will be a bit deflated come Friday night. That said, I believe that this IS Scott's Best year and by whatever measuring stick you use, they deserve kudos for their accomplishments. They will be in the playoffs and have a good chance of revisiting their District Opponents at that time.

This is why you are the Voice of Reason. I'm take more of a hard-line stance on it, but I get your point. I do agree that it should be up to the coaches. I just expect them to be smart. Unfortunately, some are not "reasonable". If you use your JV for more significant practice time for Varsity players you are not developing others.

I don't think Holmes has more speed than Franklin Co. So I'm not worried about that. Beechwood has to play disciplined football and our Line needs to control things on defense and offense. Again, if coaches mix it up like they did and the boys play like they did at FCHS game, then I predict a great outcome.
