I think the numbers are pretty revealing about who the best teams are. Mayfield and Russ have wins over teams rank 100 or above and no one else does. Mayfield has 3 wins over opponests ranked above 100 and has clearly played the toughest schedule of the 1A . I think it shows why Russ should be ranked #2, its Ft C win is better than anyone elses win other than Mayfield

This shows that wins are very important in the LIT ratings. Frankfort's opponents are much better than Bethlehem's or Paintsville's, but both of those teams have won more than Frankfort.

^ That looks more like what I would have expected from a computer ranking that factors in strength of schedule.

Here is some info, although not very specific:

 

The Litratings rank every team in Kentucky based on a formula that includes scores, strength of schedule and other factors.

 

Only games against in-state opponents are included in the Litratings.

The key point I see in that info is Lit uses scores as a factor.

Gotcha. Those Lit Ratings look about right. But we're halfway through the season and that's when the computer ratings start to look more accurate.
