Here is the thing that I think sometimes gets overlooked in all these debates on message boards. This man has a wife and kids. They have a life to lead outside of the lines and if the community of Frankfort makes that better then the rest of this crap is inmaterial. At the end of the day you are going to have idiots that question everything you do as a coach and then you are going to have supporters to the death of everything you do no matter if you are right or wrong. However, the faster a coach realizes that the betterment of the family is the biggest priority... it is amazing how much better the job that particular coach does because of peace of mind. Peace of mind is 90% of coaching these days because it is such a thankless job and if Coach Stepp has that peace of mind then the rest of the bitterness that gets displayed on these boards is very insignificant. He is a good football coach and Franklin County can help him and his family just like he can help Franklin County. Frankfort is a great football town right now especially with the improvement of Western Hills by Coach Miller and staff. The community has emraced it like it did in the mid 80's and the future for all three schools is very bright. That adds up to a great atmosphere to do what you love and Franklin County happens to be a very good job in terms of talent and tradition so why hate on someone for wanting to be a part of that.

I think there exists a double standard going into this game that maybe some don't realize. I wonder if such negativity would exist around town about Western Hills if Hills would have only lost by 7 points to Lafayette. Don't think so. This Franklin County team understands they did not play well last week. They have a long way to go and their QB had better get back to the fundamentals of the offense. This team has yet to understand the value of practice and extra effort but I think a light has gone off this week that will help this team grow up and come together. IT IS WEEK 3 AFTERALL! Arguably their best player (Leland Robinson) has been out and that has a tremendous impact on the practice tempo because Leland only goes one speed (all out). The success of the FCHS program has relied on diligent preperation week to week over the last 5 1/2 seasons and that seems to be have been lost until this week. I guess we will have to see what happens but I believe the kids at FCHS feel a little stung by the community and its attitude toward their abilities after last week and if they are truly FLYERS then getting taken to task over the worth and respect of your program leaves you backed in a corner you have to fight for your life to get out of at 7:30 tonight. The facts are Coach G was done WRONG and this whole thing smells bad around the Richmond community and the 11th region. I hope it works out for everybody involved except the principal that arranged a coup to oust a very respected man and coach!!!!

I don't think there is any doubt that this was a "inside" job in regards to the dismissal of Coach Gandolfo. They now have what they want so we will see what happens. Coach G is a dear friend and great coach and the cirumstances are very unfortunate. The principal had some applicants that had several state tournament appearances between them and chose this so the message is that it is not about who is a class act, who is a good man, who is a proven winner, it is about what she wants in her own little world and that is not always what is best for the kids or the school. Adult agendas are killing high school sports and the black eye on Madison Central from this is very bad. I wonder what Coach Feldhaus thinks of this selection. :irked:

Compared to what speed they play against with the exception of Belfry? I would say they are as fast as Jenkins, Phelps, South Floyd, Magoffin, Grundy, Haysi, Knott, and so on....

#2 and #12. Morgan is a great back but I am of the belief that #12 Mason(I believe he is a 9th grader) will be better than him and may end up a little bigger than Morgan three years from now. You'll understand once your D LIne doesn't make the first hit or your LBs get caught up in the wash down on the LOS. Alot of football teams have a back that is called a "speed guy". Frankfort has 6 backs that would be the feature back in 80-90% of all run offenses in the state of Kentucky and once they get three yards past the line the second guy is gonna miss and the third guy won't get a chance to miss becaue the PAT team will be trotting on the field.
