How long of a drive is it? I know it's a long one but just was wondering how far...You guys have a pretty solid team...Congrats on the win...makes for a much nicer drive home...lol

Figured this would be an issue to some this morning. Just wanted to let the fans know that programs can be purchased before the game and the PA announcer does tell the fans who the starters are before the game begins. Mason threw zero passes in the second half. No running up the score took place. When you run the ball and the other team doesn't tackle you, that does not constitute running up the score. If you would like you can refer to the link that has been provided on this thread and you will see that the back-up tailback scored the first TD in the second half, not a starter.

Ullery never coached a team that was 2-20. His first two years at Mason County resulted in back to back district championships. Mason had not won a district title since 1993 at that point. Get your facts straight.

Ullery does not have a brother named Ron and the correct years he was the head coach was from 00-04. At one time he had a staff that looked a little like this.......Ullery-Georgetown College, Matt Wallingford-Georgetown College, Mike Tumey-Lees Junior College/NKU and Travis Earlywine-Campbellsville College.

You all tend to forget that Allen Feldhaus coached at Mason County when Maysville had great teams, Fleming County had great teams, St. Pat had quality teams and this was just in the 39th district. Coach Feldhaus had to win a game to make it to the regional tournament and that game was not considered a free pass. Mason County won many district titles 7 or 8 in the 80's when the competition JUST in this district was very tough. Then Coach Feldhaus led Mason County to it's very first regional title (1981) and then won again in '82, 85, and '87. Coach Feldhaus is a hall of famer, he won with teams that didn't always have division one talent and he is a legend at Mason County.

Tim Sullivan, Holmes graduate, played for Mike Flynn. He was previously the head coach at St. Pat and then an assistant at Mason County last season. A tremendous person and an outstanding young coach.

Just my opinion as an outsider, but I would say the newly acquired assistant coach has had a lot to do with how much Covington Holmes has improved. Those players and that school lucked out, they got a great one. Best of luck to you all the rest of the year.

David Buchanan, Mason County High School. They didn't know how to spell football until he came to Mason County 11 years ago. Since then, they have won 2 regional titles (the school's first two) and he lead the KY/Tenn. all star team to a victory. He was successful at Paris before he came to Mason.

I don't doubt that Russell is at least 2 TD better..I just hate it when the weather is used like it was...both teams are playing in the mud...both teams like to run it...I think Russell will wear FC down and it should indeed be at least 2 TD difference at the horn

Something I found intersting about Fleming County's request was that they (Fleming Co.) say the primary reason they wanted to move districts was because they already scheduled Breathitt, Estill, and Powell. They failed to mention that under the proposal they already had Mason, Russell, East Carter, West Carter, and Lewis County. (teams in the district under the proposal). Just makes no sense to me.

From Mason County you will have 6'6" junior Darius Miller. Darius has outstanding hands, he is sneaky fast and obviously you have the fact he is 6'6". On the other side you have Tony Browning, 6'3", sr. very fast, great hands and probably one of the best athletes on Mason County's team. They make a great combination for the Royals.

At one point in the 2nd half, 26 of Oak Hill's 34 2nd half points came in the paint.
