20-12 for the first game of the season by a veer oriented team on the road sounds about right. The most important thing to remember - they won all the games against. Waggener, X, Boone, Warren Central, etc…stiff competition. Waggener was indeed 10-2. Trinity was able to beat that team twice in the same season, something the best team from last year could not accomplish. In fact, they where 42-0 by the end of the season winning their 3rd straight title. This team is considered by many (note: this does not mean all) to be the best in Kentucky history.

The 1990 Trinity team was loaded. This is considered by many to be the best team ever in the state of Kentucky. 15 scholarships and 2 preferred walk-ons*. Releases happen all the time. I'm not sure how the KHSAA rules allows this. Is this a Jefferson Co thing?

LT (and his parents) decided to leave Trinity after he was moved to the D-line. Trinity has many quality LB's, but are thin on the D-line in terms of experienced varsity players. LT would have been fighting for a role at LB instead of starting on the D-line. He (and parents) decided D-line was not in his best personal interest and left the school. The move happened well before the season began and the team has not skipped a beat becasue of it. I understand the parents talked with several Jefferson County coaches before deciding to move into an apartment in Jeffersonville so that LT would be eligible there. Best of luck to him (and his parents).

I highly doubt Ohio would want to offer the spot light to a lowly KY team.
