What I know from coaching these age groups the past few years is this class should be very good at a lot of NKY schools. From the feeders I would think these teams will be very good. (no reason of order) CovCath-St Joe's had a very nice team for the past 2 years. They now add a good guard in from St. Pius (Murphy)and some size from Pius. Also the Freshman QB (BIR) who had a good season for the Colonels was from St. Paul. He'll be a nice bball player also. Brossart-St. Mary's was one of the best 8th grade teams last year. They have good size and could shoot the ball. Not sure if all these boys head to Brossart, but St. Joe's Cold Springs can help with some talent Im sure. Simon Kenton-As seen in posts above. They have talent. Lots of it. They also have size and should benefit from a really good Summit View team. Connor-I don't know much about them, cuz I never saw them. But I hear great things and am told the staff at Connor is excited about this group. Beechwood-Hear alot about this team. Let see if they all stick with BBall. St. Henry-Will be interesting to see what happens with Meiman. Not many Freshman start out on JV for Faust. But they have a nice group from IHM coming in. And a group from other feeders that have some talent that will keep them competitive.

Height???? St Henry has no height and really hasn't in quite some time. 6'3" sounds about right and is about the same size as Zumdick last year. There is a sophmore named Dedden, brother of Zach Dedden who started in the middle 2yrs ago, who has some height I believe and played some JV last year as a freshman, but I don't think he's ready yet to be playing a lot of varsity. Funny thing is when I was at St. Henry almost our entire team was 6'3" or taller. 3guys were taller than 6'5". Whats in the water at these feeder schools nowdays?

I've heard some good things about this boy also, but lets remember he's only a freshman. He's got a lot to learn. Im sure especially on the defensive side of the ball. Im not saying its impossible for him to see varsity minutes, but its very rare for Coach Faust to even move a freshman to varsity early in the season. I can only remember four guys to start there freshman seasons out on the varsity level. Matt Fabiani, Sam Lageman, Kieth Schuler, and Mike Topmiller. Guys like Jeff Eisenmenger, Matt Otte, Todd Vieth, and Nick Love all played Freshman and/or JV there freshman year. I wish this young man good luck and am glad he chose to go to St Henry. He's got a great coach and hopefully he'll have a great career at St. Henry. From what I hear the entire freshman class should be pretty decent.

Since its only October and practices haven't even started, I have no clue what the starting 5 will be. These are the 5 with the most experience, Im sure Faust will have no problem inserting depth. Last year they were 11 deep, I wouldn't expect them to be that deep again.

St Henry won its first 34th District Championship in its first year out of the 33rd. But this years team will have to work hard to get back where they were last year. They lose 8 seniors from that team, most notably leading scorers Camron Speed and David Zumdick. But with that said. They still have 3 seniors with experience starting for Coach Faust. PG Jake Hils, known for his good defense and dishing out assist. Benny Bessler, one of the more athletic players in NKY. And Ryan Anderson is one best players in the 34th district that no one knows about. These 3 seniors along with Juniors John Patula and Zach Barnett should give Coach Faust a solid group of talent to work with.

The first two games were awesome. Both teams kept taking the leads back and forth. Both games looked like St. Henry was going to win, but NDA just had too much. The Wulfeck girl is one of the most dominating volleyball players I've ever seen in this area. Add the really tall girl to the front line and NDA is going to be tough to beat. St. Henry has some great young talent. #2 was very good. And the #3 has the best jump serve I've seen in some time. Overall this is a great cause and I think it will just keep getting better and better every year. The only thing I don't like is the game itself. Best of 5 is just too much. If the two teams really went 5 games, fans wouldn't get home till amolst 1030 or 11 for an event where JV started at 6.

Don't be surprised if Billy G gets a job after this season and Elijiah or Ricardo follow him. He was a big fan of the Holmes team and the defense they played.

With Guys like Vee Sandford going to Gtown and then guys like John Hood going to UK, what would be a good fit for Ricardo. Im thinking he is a SEC/ACC type of player. Maybe a smaller school in one of these conferences but I'd think he's going to be seeing much better offers than Marshall and Ohio correct?

Missing Stephen already. He was an awesome guy and always was smiling. Some things are just hard to undstand. Prayers are with the Jon and the entire Elrod family.

All Im saying is the Reds have drafted 5catchers in the past 2 days. Im not sure but that seems like a lot. I think of the 5, two were High School players who don't intend at all to go pro. If your going to waste 5 draft choices on catchers, why not give the best one in your area a shot.

Well I believe of the 3 or 4 Catchers they took at least one was a SS. If my hometown team took me, the team I've dreamt of playing for forever. I might have to think about my decision to attend college. The Reds could use the hometown advantage more than any other team that is going to select him.

Wouldn't hurt the Reds to take him, but I believe now they have already taken 3 or 4 catchers.

Unless CoachCsU has heard differently in the past couple month, last I heard was that Greg wasn't probably ever going to play again. I hope this isn't true. He's such a great player and a steal for Transy to get.

I heard today that Scott Code was not interested in leaving Brossart for the Highlands job. I also heard that the the current assistant Feldman and Brad Carr have shown interest.

Will he be at Transy next year? He'd fit in very well there and I see lots of playing time for him as a freshman.

Any word on Josh Crawford of Corbin?
