I know St. Henry is playing at a faster pace this year than most years and that could lead to some bad defense. But giving up 61pts to a lesser talented Lloyd team has to irk Coach Faust a little. But at this point a wins a win I guess. Keep it up tonight and keep getting better. I think this team is very close to being pretty darn good.

I included Scott and Simon Kenton players that played 2yrs or more in the 9th region. I believe that includes Hester and Hurd since they played varsity as freshman.

Don't think this is always true anymore. I want to say it is at public schools but at private schools they can have there own rules. Think I watched Holmes vs St Henry a few yrs back on a snow day for both schools, but host school was St Henry.

HAHA! I was waiting for it. But truthfully I tried not to be biased. But when you take that 03' team that won the region, its hard to just pick 2 or 3 guys. Hard to argue with Eisenmenger, Love, and Lenhof. I know you were just kidding

Thank you Walter....but wow really? You think Hill was better. Give me your argument. I absolutly fell in the love with the game of Arrez. He developed a good outside shot and there probably hasn't ever been a shut down defender like him in the area. 6ft tall and he could guard any opposing PG,SG,SF,PF or even Center. His leaps were abosolutly fascinating. One of the very special athletes to come out of this area.

Kevin was one heck of a shooter. Probably one of the top 10 in the decade.

St Henry has too much for Lloyd. Can't see this being much of a game.

Pennick originally commited to WSU then they had a coaching change and he changed his mind. Headed to Morehead. After a short stint there he head to Union I believe with Mike Hester and Herd from SK. (I believe) Now he's playing with Kane Belcher from Pendleton Co at Pikeville College.

After a couple more days I will go through and give my team. Nothing much has changed from the original team I put together. With the exception of probably adding Austin Hill. Before I created a team, I wanted a good list of players to pick from. Also didn't want to leave someone else out that I had forgot about. Stay tuned!! Fun to remember some of these great players and great teams.

Thanks MJ, I was trying to think of his name for day or so. I knew he had played against my brother. He was probably the best of the Lloyd players in this decade.

Mike Brock was one of my favorite players to watch play. If I coach a big man or ever have a kid who is a big man. I would want him to play exactly like Mike Brock. He was a beast. But with that said, kinda hard to put Brock on 1st team over Neltner after Neltner was Mr. Basketball in the state of KY.

Totally agree on both of these guys. I played a lot of ball with them both and both are great people and still friends of mine. Didn't want to say them because Im kinda biased, but they both were very very good players.

After a week or so I will make a final cut list. Then I will try and figure out some of the colleges and where the kids played after HS.

Exactly why I stated it was for players that graduated 00-09. Wanted to talk more about players of the past than current players. Yes, if they were included they'd all be on the list. As would others playing now also.

I loved the guys from Silver Grove. Fun to watch. Pelle, McCarter Bros, Jimmy Horstman, Etc. But thats not 9th Region so sorry guys. And that should clarify malichicruch's question. See the title. I would say I'd definetly add to my list: Austin Hill Luke Maile Corey Sorrell Mike Schmidt Nic Simpson Tim Tierney Danny Noll McGraw if he could have stayed healthy for just one more year. But I loved watching this kid play. I know he was at Transy but health problems held him back. Keep throwing guys at me, I know I was missing guys I wanted to add but just didn't have a list to go off of.

Since this is all stuff we'd like to see and will not happen Im going to have fun with it. 1) Shot behind half court counts as 5pts 2) Get rid of the 3 seconds in the lane call 3) Once a team has 12 team fouls in a half the opponet gets 2 FT plus 1. 2 plus bonus. 4) Palming the ball while dribbling or crossing over is called!!!!! EVERYTIME!!! 5) Bank shots must be called outside the paint. If not called its considered no good!

Im only going to comment 1 time on the Brian Carroll situation. First I want to say he is finally showing the talent that many of us knew he had. Im happy for him and glad he's playing well. He's worked hard and gotten much better on both sides of the ball. I did witness the warning given to Brian. It was for saying something to an official I believe. Right there he had to know he was going to be watched and he couldn't afford any mishaps near or with an official. In his first real season on the varsity level I hope Brian Carroll is learning 2 things: 1)He can play with and be one of the best players in the Region. 2)He needs to just play basketball. Not worry about anything else. a) Don't question officials b) Don't question your coaches c) Don't make faces and gestures that are negative and draw attention to yourself. d) Don't talk to anyone on the floor but your own teammates. Im a St. Henry alum. I watch a lot of the games. Since I've graduated I've taken pride in the classy, well respected teams and the great program that Coach Faust has established in his 16yrs. All other coaches, players, fans and officials would agree Dave Faust is not only a very knowledgable and hard working coach but also well respected in the state for how he does it. In honor of him, all the other great teams in the past, and the hard working players in the past, please do everything possible not ruin that reputation.

Sorry I correct myself, yes he is a Junior. A very nice player that Dixie will miss. Can anyone clarify what the exact injury was? I heard back injury and it required surgery? If thats true I'll be amazed if he's back in 3 weeks unless its something minor.

From what I heard he's had back surgery in the past week or so. He'll be out for a long time and hopefully back by districts and regionals. Tough story for a senior.

St. Henry had 3 in double digits. 14 by Bessler, 13 by Carroll and 12 by Barnett. Not sure about Dixie. They played with out Coach Chevy on the sidelines due to illness. A very hard fought game by both teams. Once the tech was called on Carroll it changed the game and the way St. Henry played. Took the air right out of the tires that had seemed to be rolling to a huge district victory. I'm not going to comment on the T because I've heard two sides of the story. The more surprising version comes from the surprising side.
