I created this thread and teams to start some debate. Lets talk about this. Lets remember some of the great players we've seen. My only criteria is that the player had to play 2yrs in the decade and graduate from 00-09. Lets get it started!!!

What about Schmidt from St. Henry? Wasn't he one of the better big men in 2003 along with JD, Neltner, and Brock?

I'd take Greg McGraw over him.

What about the following:

 

Austin Hill- Holmes

Travis Rasso- Boone

Tim Tierney- Covcath

 

I'd take Hill over a lot of the guys on that list. He was one of the few to play at the D1 level and he's currently playing for Illinois St, I believe.

 

I'd also put Greg Rice on the first team ahead of Arrez Henderson. Rice was a JUCO All American last year and last I heard is at Detroit University (D1) right now.

McGraw was the best all around player in that c/o 2008. He could do it all at both ends of the floor.

Hill should be on the 2nd team but if I had to pick 5 only and position didn't matter I would go with this.

Luke Maile got minutes all four years on varsity and scored 1000 points.

Austin Hill averaging almost 7 points a game for the 10-3 Illinois State Redbirds. Great player and always the guy to stop when he played.

Finally, I know it was only one year, but what a year for the 9th region tournament MVP of 2006 Danny Noll now finishing up a great career at Centre College.

Mike Schmidt

Nic Simpson

Tim Tierney

Danny Noll

 

McGraw if he could have stayed healthy for just one more year. But I loved watching this kid play. I know he was at Transy but health problems held him back.

 

Keep throwing guys at me, I know I was missing guys I wanted to add but just didn't have a list to go off of.
