Belfry Wins

Pikeville is very talented in backfield like EKU said. They also was the most athletic backfield last season, but we seen what happened to them. They are weak at the line, they have tried to improve but depth isnt there right now, and I see that being no different this year.

I like it pretty well, I seen Hazard and they aren't a top 10 team, if they are then its a weak mountain area this season. I think I would move SC up some maybe, also Prestonburg in instead of Hazard. That is a solid nine to start with though.

Numbers are down, talent is down. They just dont have it this year I dont think.

Yeah they are going to struggle this year, battling numbers and talent.

From what I was told by a fan who was there from Boyd Co. Belfry varsity won 3 TD's to 1 but not really for sure, scored are meaningless in a scrimage though. Interested to hear from both sides how things went.

Central never has held back in past in scrimage, shucks they even shot the cannon off last scrimage I went to haha. Matney never holds anything back. He would pull out everything if he was playing checkers just the way he is.

I was more impressed and suprised with Magoffin Co. last year than any team Belfry played. Not saying they were the best but the standars I had for them were much lower than they actualy showed me. I am defintley rooting for them to get things turned around, hopefully the administration will get behind him and back him, because he is the guy to turn them around if they let him.

Nah refs were from Kentucky this year. They was just that one bad call made.

22-16 WV. West Virginia got a 22-0 lead early. But Kentucky scored two touch downs in the fourth. Kentucky drove the ball early in the third but a pass was ruled incomplete on fourth and goal from the five. And honestly very bad call, but WV turned it over again and Ky couldnt score again. When they scored first TD in the fourth they got the ball back because when your down 12 or more in the second half then you get the ball kicked to you when you score. They drove and scored again, which made up for the bad call earlier. Corey Chapman lead the way for Ky and was offensive MVP and on defense Danny Hinkle from SC was defensive MVP. Kentucky gave up the big play to much. Two big pass plays and a big punt return by Paul McCoy. Kentucky had tw turnovers. And WV had a DE from Wayne that absoloutley wore KY out. He went up against the lineman from JC most of the night who is very good and dominated him most of the night. But overall wasnt as boring as the games usualy are and most of all no fighting. They was a few little things but refs kept it under control, Paul McCoy got mad and kicked a guy and got thrown out, for those who dont remember that is the guy who broke single game record for rushing yards against Burch, he got thrown out real late in the game though. Besides for little things that you see at most football games, it was a good clean game.

Probably Logan Banner, them and Williamson Daily have been runnign strories all week.

Last couple years I'm yet to see a football game break out haha.

I say WV will win this game again by about three touchdowns. But you never know, you can never count out us Kentucky boys. I just feel things are often set up for the WV squad to get a victory.

I will try to get you guys a roster today, I know the coaches so I should be able to come up with something.

That is a big area, I would hate to be you guys haha keep you busy, good luck though anybody doing anything for our area teams, I wish them the best of luck.

The front line and front seven on defense should be tremendous. Will be a fun team to watch, and fun to watch develop and dangerous by end of season like always.

Belfry still dont play them, is Ahsland the only Ky. school they face? By the way nothing but respect for Lutz one of nicest guys I ever met, and he can coach his teams are so disciplined.

Because seeding just gives you the best match ups at the end and lets the best teams throughout season on the oopposite end of the brackets, kind of a reward for a tuff and successful schedule. Classing just waters down a great thing and I dont think seeding does at all.

Ill tell ya about Valley They have great speed and guard play. They arent big and strong They like to run on offense Pressure and Pressure on defense. Their shooting really helps them. I dont think they will go real deep with the level of competition they will be facing. I see them maybe getting a win this year though, and they are young but they have a real nice team.

West Virginia does that now and they let the coaches vote on it. Which makes it tuff I guess in a sense for teams that dont get seen a lot but its one of best ideas I can think of, or has a comitee that watches throughout the year and goes out in the the regional torunament and watches.

I didnt see anything wrong with it. I mean why not go out like that. If I could ever do that I would throw the ball in the stands to lol.

Actualy Mayo had plenty of opportunites to score easily all tournament and passed it up, he is a great passer.

By the way Triple A in WV is awful this year, but they did play a team in Bridgeport in second round that could ball. Actualy they reminded me of a Scott team not quiet as good maybe but they had one kid that could flat out play ball.
