NDA did lose a lot with Wulfeck, Barton, Ebner and Schellhaas but they do have a ton of young talent. Scott has some great hitters but can they get the ball to the setter to run a consistent offense? Seems that their passing was lacking last year. St. Henry only lost two seniors. Ryle has some young talent this year also. I see those four teams as the top teams this year with NDA and St. Henry battling it out for #1.

SK will still be good, but will not dominate without Simpson. He is a one of kind type of player and it will be difficult to fill his shoes.

I am starting to think this Ryle v SK game is going to be the most anticipated game of the year. We will see...

From these posts, it seems that Ram is right, there is a lot of hate. No money came from tax dollars. The money for repairs came from an account that was set aside for upkeep and repairs. BOE must approve all expenditures, but that does not mean that they have to come up with the money for it. The money for this project did come from private donations. It all started with a meeting with about 25 people interested in getting a turf field, and new track.

I agree! Sometimes you don't know what you've got until its gone. Balinger was a great coach and I think CC will realize it way too late.

Sometimes people on the outside don't want to admit when the opponent is doing things right, and Ryle is doing a lot of things right. 1. Working hard in the weight room in the off season. 2. Upgrading coaching staff 3. Raising money to upgrade facilities 4. Hall of Fame Night and Sportsfest Night to celebrate their programs.

I heard the new head coach was Melissa Collins. So is it Hunningfield or Collins?

Campbell's coach will be teaching and coaching in Ohio. Coach Fleissner was the JV coach at NCC for over 15 years before Coach Mertle retired. So, she was able to continue the consistency. It is June 6 and i have not heard that Campbell has hired a coach. Not good with only a month until the season starts.

Campbell lost a great coach and Natalie Penrod who carried that team, not to mention two other seniors that were very steady players. NCC has a very strong group right now, and I don't see anyone in the region stopping them for the next two years.

In 2010, 10th Region will still be ruled by NCC, Highlands, Campbell County and Bishop Brossart (in that order).

Having a certified teacher in the building would be ideal, but I do not think it is a requirement.

I don't remember Strong being at Ryle. He was at Dixie before CC. I believe you have him mixed up with another man who was the principal at Campbell County a few years back.

Where will these teams play their games? Boone County Schools has a NO SUNDAY usage policy. With JV and Freshman Football games and Soccer in the picture, I do not see these newly formed teamed getting any time at the high schools.

It makes sense to align with the schools. If you live in Hebron, why would you want to drive all the way to Union 3 nights a week for practice, and vice versa. If you have more than one child playing, it can be a nightmare running all over the county.

Way to go Cougars. Keep it up and stay focused.

I hate to see Don's show go. He will be greatly missed. As for the Legends show, it seemed like it was more Legends of Campbell County, at least when I was watching anyway.
