9th Region Volleyball

Featured Replies

Is it to early to discuss 9th region volleyball?

The season is less than a month away.....

Who are the favorites this year.... Scott, Notre Dame, St. Henry.

I know NDA lost a lot to graduation and Scott returns virtually their whole team from the regional runner-up finish last year and are led by UK recruit Lauren O'Conner. Are they the favorites in the 9th region?

NDA seemed to have some younger players in the varsity rotation. I also heard an incoming freshman is pretty strong. Don't know her name.

NDA did lose a lot with Wulfeck, Barton, Ebner and Schellhaas but they do have a ton of young talent. Scott has some great hitters but can they get the ball to the setter to run a consistent offense? Seems that their passing was lacking last year. St. Henry only lost two seniors. Ryle has some young talent this year also. I see those four teams as the top teams this year with NDA and St. Henry battling it out for #1.

I'd say Beechwood is a dark horse behind Spahn.

Didn't Beechwood's setter choose to go to NDA for high school? I believe she is a Freshman this year after playing with Beechwood as a 8th grader last year. I believe this has to be a big blow for Beechwood.

It should be interesting to see who sets for NDA this year. I believe they have a Jr. by the name of Schellhaas that set on the JV team last year.

I guess time will tell.

It's always hard to go against St. Henry and NDA.
