Cody Elliott is the senior-to-be returner. He's pretty talented on the field, and not too shabby on the baseball mound, either.

What are we supposed to agree with? The administration wanted a teacher, there is only a science position open. We can't create a teaching job, so the no-brainer is....Someone with experience who's already in the building. It's not exactly dissing the basketball program. IMO, it shows respect for the program that they see the need and benefit to having the coach be close to the players on a daily basis. I'm not picking a fight or trying to be a smart aleck....just an observation.

Because Rick was offered the job and actually ACCEPTED the position! I think we went thru 3-4 cycles the last time. Good Luck Rick!

Rick Shumate has just been named Head Coach. He is/was Freshman Head Coach for Dixie Heights. He is a Special Ed Teacher here at Beechwood.

It's true. Mike gave notice on Monday, 4-30. I don't think we'll see the drama that played out 4 years ago.

Beechwood just beat Lex Christian by 1. Sorry I don't know the particulars.

I agree it is an awesome facility to watch a game, but what about playing on the field? Right field looks to me to be very hilly. I was amazed at how uneven the outfield is. Anyone played out there have an opinion?

NKU played double-header Friday and one today. Not the most comfortable to play or attend.

Though we are losing most of our line to graduation, the linemen coming up are used to playing together since pee-wee days. They should gel well together and hopefully, with a little footwork training, be quick, mean and strong.

Thanks for the validation on the ref situation. I wanted to talk about it, but it would only sound like sour grapes. That's NOT how I want it to sound. It was definately a game of many blown calls. But, alas, it's a game and it's over. My scalp still tingles from all the new gray hairs that sprung thru last night!!!! Congratulations NCC. Bring it home to NKY! Congratulations to the Senior Tigers! Hold your heads high! It's been one heck of a ride! Love you guys! (Even if you don't have good barbers!)
