Good Morning! It's a good day to live in the "Wood"! First, let me congratulate the TIGERS: Players, Coaches, CHEERLEADERS, Band, Fans. Thanks for the memories. It seems surreal still, and will take a while to sink in. Second, let me congratulate LCA on a great game and tenacious kids. You never gave up. It really could have gone either way. I must admit, I thought several times that LCA had it in the bag. Hold your heads high. I have a feeling you'll be back in the "Pizza Box" many more times! (Yes, I agree that there were too many ???? calls. I was sitting with 2 football officials, who were having a fit at several of them. They actually set me straight on 2 calls, but on 2 others, they sided with the general fans that there were bad calls.)

Any score??? Just signed on.

Thanks Baseballguy! Now, do you make housecalls? My VCR has flashed 12:00 since the day it was purchased! The last time I tried to tape off of cable, I got 2 hours of snow! I'll have to wait until kids come home to figure it out!

Just returned from the Pep Rally. We sure have some fired-up fans here today! Probably won't have a chance to post anything else until well later this weekend. Lots of pomp going on and lots of last minute things to do. We have a dinner for the team tonight, breakfast bright and early at 6:30, and then there's something else going on tomorrow afternoon, but I can't remember what it is....:confused: LOVE YOU GUYS! BRING IT HOME!

Oh, I'm just off work, so I want to make the most of it!

I'm trying to focus on the special-ness of these last few days, but I'm starting to be emotional. Last kid, last game, yada, yada yada. NO! I have to focus like the players! Be strong! Chin up! There's a mission to be accomplished! Ahhh, I feel better. GO TIGERS!!!!!

This is true. Three of our current seniors have rings. Elliott, Bankemper and Davis. The other 13 got to dress for the dance, but didn't get in. They at least have been to the facility and remember the drill. I'm sure their stomachs were a little more settled in '04 than they will be this year, though. Many have siblings who have been there, who are being very supportive and sharing tips with their younger sibs. I know in my own house, the '04 State Ring is being sported by the elder to encourage the younger. (It's also been used as a weapon ) Hey, whatever it takes! Oh, wait, that was the theme in '04! How about: "It's all in the Attitude" ?

You'll just have to take our word for the fact that '05 was a night that no Beechwood player, parent or fan wants to relive. Maybe avenge, but DEFINATELY NOT relive. There were many internal factors at odds that night. Focus was gone. Hope was gone. These are matured, and wisened coaches, players and fans. Time passes, and the pain may fade some, but the memory is there to remind us to replace it with a positive one. IMO, this group will do their best to make that happen. The countdown has begun. It will be a fun week, but a busy one in the Fort. GO TIGERS!!!!!

Best of luck to all the Frankfort Senior players in their future endeavors. Cherish your memories. Good luck next season to all the Frankfort underclassmen. Thanks to the fine folks in Frankfort. Everyone we encountered were gracious and kind. Tnanks to the coaches and players of Beechwood. We fans weren't ready for it to end quite yet. Yes, It's past my bedtime. I told a Senior Player this morning that he needs to fire his teammates up and remind them to play as well, or better, than they did last Friday. Hard hitting, wrap-em-up and bring-em-down mentality. He countered that they were all VERY AWARE and VERY PREPARED to do what has to be done. He said there was no need for me to remind him! I was appropriately put in my place! Sooooo, Since you all know what to do----GO DO IT!!!!!! We'll be there cheering you on!

Thank you for your level-headedness. I believe you hit it correctly, and I agree 100%. Let's all cheer our own teams, but leave the negative comments about the competition out of it. What happened 1, 2, 10 years ago is irrelevant. What's important is who are the current team members and their strengths and weaknesses, and what they will bring to the table Friday night. GOOD LUCK TO ALL.

I have a question about directions. I have 3 different ones, and all taking about the same amount of time, but a rather large discrepency in mileage. Looking for the straightest route, but safest road. I have 75 south to 64 (94 miles) ; I-75 south to 60 (80+miles); and then I-71 to Warsaw/Sparta with 127 south (75 miles). Suggestions?

Beechwood has 16 seniors this year, but 21 JUNIORS. Should be fine for awhile.

Please don't think that Beechwood feels we'll be 'slummin'. No Beechwood person has said anything of the sort. As a matter of fact, we're pretty dern happy to be coming to Frankfort-distance and time being the main reasons. We really weren't too happy to think we'd have to give up 2-3 DAYS to travel for a football game if we had to play at Mayfield. (Yes, folks, that's what it would have cost us-leave on THURSDAY afternoon, play on Friday night, drive straight thru the night to get home around 7:30 a.m.--whole Saturday shot, too) It's nothing personal against any team-simply the logistics. Good luck to all! Tigers, better have your wheels well-oiled and remember how to tackle.

Oh, come on now UNC, just my family alone had more fans here than that! It wasn't THAT empty. We just had competition for entertainment dollars. This week should be different! Lots of college-kids/sibs in town, anticipated good game, only MILD flurries..... Good Luck to all.

Every PLAYER and every FAN should believe in THEIR team. That's what SPIRIT is about. There is going to be two teams playing each other Friday night, therefore, there SHOULD be two teams of players and two cities of fan base each rooting and BELIEVING in their teams. NOT bashing the other, just rooting THEIR OWN ON. Good Luck to BOTH TIGER TEAMS and all the seniors. Play fair, Play tough and know you've given your all.
