Another good performance for the bearcats the pitching keeps them in these games and the bats seem to be getting hot at the right times. Roberts seems to be playing really well for a first year player as a senior. Hope this carries over to the all A.

Split squad varsity game, the other varsity kids stayed home to play in "All A"

against Newport. I think most of the boys were JV

I think Beechwood had just 1 sophmore (starting Pitcher) A freshman, several 8th graders, and even a 7th grader in the starting lineup.

then why even schedule this game and play it at the Florence Freedom field I would think the varsity guys would like to play there.

Really was not split squad . Every kid there has started most of the JV games . There was not any kids who play mostlly varsity . 3 of them have seen varsity time , that being 2 of the 8th graders . The starting L/U was this

Beechwood was actually winning after 4 innings I believe , 3-2 .Was told Walton had started there # 1 pitcher , I believe the game was scheduled not being sure of the All A schedule . They could of cancelled the game ,like most schools would have . Why not take your give the youngsters a chance .I thought they handled themselves pretty well , they did not seem to care they were playing vs JRS AND SENIORS .

First of all It was not Wv's number one pitcher... it was there three.. and the runs scored was off a stupid error.. but wish it could have been varsity..

Sorry , did not mean to hit a nerve . Was told by a WV parent and a coach he is the # 1 . Yes the runs for Beechwood did ascore due to errors which is part of the game . The kid rushed the throw to first because of great hustle by the runner I thought . Beechwood did commit 4 errors ,may have been 1 or 2 more -generous scoring maybe .Afly ball lost in the sun was among some other miscues by the young Tigers .

I was not trying to take anything away from WV . They are off to a nice start .From what I understand this is the normal starting L/U for Beechwoods JV , OF course the pitcher changes . I just thought it would be good that all know it was not any starting varsity players . One of them did show up ,the other game got finished fast , but he was not put in the game .

Hopperton is there number one starter, I belive Walton started Ryan which would be the three maybe the two. I do wish it could of been a full squad game win or loose.
