Manual Stadium and Jefferson County schools to get my $6 friday night.

Gonna be another fantastic dual between 2 very well disciplined teams. I look for the T o-line to begin to jell----simply because it has too or it could get ugly.#55 and the boys NOT to let that happen. A real first game test for the Rocks , while MBA dispatched a good Dunbar team last week. I may be optimistic picking the Rocks 15-14.

Indeed tigercat. They don't have the gun at QB as they have had for a while. I don't think it will be a runaway, but I think X wins by 3 or 4 TD's.

Well done ,Trinity Alum. Oxnard needs to put down the X- 3A foes like they do in Checks ,on here, instead of trying to set up the Rocks all the time. It seems to me that he , like many of the ex-men , will never live down the fact that the best st.x team of all time finished second in the state in 2005. Now I am hearing that this x team is the best since the creation of sliced bread. BG was without their starting QB and RB last week . I will say that I think the Rocks pull out a close one. Jeff Rutledge(former Alabama QB, MBA head coach), always has a well disclpined and prepared team. They may have a player down, but they will come in a knockin. I pick the Rocks 15-14. Rollredroll etc., please dishonor the futile attempts by our rival to put down your outstanding program. Trinity has long ties to playing MBA , way back to the days when I played (1976 scrimmage in Nashville) We have the utmost respect for your hard nosed play and gentlemanly manner in the stands , unlike our rivals who post on our threads here. May you all have a safe trip up and lets have a good ole time at the game Saturday night. You'll like our field much better than you did 2 years ago. Get there early and partake in the National Champion Powerlifters fund raising pre game barbecue.(4-6:30) in Alumi Hall right behind the visitors bleachers.

St.x HAS the best football team on the planet. They will win by 72. Lex cath is a terrible , awful football team, not worthy of being an opponent of the mighty tiggerrs in the regular season.

Isn't it funny how the EX people can compliment Trinity now, but still will not recognize them as the champion of 2005.

Hoosier high school football pretty much stinks except for some Indy area schools............I was hoping for more of a whipping of the hoosier brand bulldog, but I guess 49-0 at halftime would be tough to duplicate.

I have to agree . The Rocks lost last week. No excuses. We sucked. We are being almost as bad as the infamous 'we had the best team ,but lost the last game ' thingy. I have heard of excuses, and there is never room for excuses, but the 'thingy' thing beats all -----:devil: I guess T will be the underdog again in the worlds' biggest outdoor high school football game cocktail party.

Typical , so typical , every year until November, everyone either plays down the Rocks, or struggles to understand............keyword :November............Trust the Coaches , and trust our players. The key from now until the , a, last game , is not to be the best until it means the most . AND , that is in the last game. Trinity will be a work in progress while building a little at a time. No crown is handed out just yet, especially in August !..............................an 8 point lead when the "famed " tackle happened.....................to be honest, ...........it was indeed a TEAM win.......surely not a one tackle win shheeeesshhhh he did what he was supposed to do.........dust off and back in the huddle.....T-R-I-N-I-T-Y FOREVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just don't see the logic here. Are there coaches on here ? IMHO ......the defense seldom had all of their starters together as a unit friday, so everything is open , or everyone is getting a look. Just a scrimmage folks. Trust Coach Beatty& staff. Trust me ! :thumb:

.....ah the sheets . I remember pulling one down off the side of the St.X campus and wadding it up and throwing it in my back seat while about 100 St.X students watched me in stunned disbelief..............some of those things were so hateful that it was hilarious...........the 'please don't hurt my daddy' one still stands out in my mind.........terrible........but at the time , funny.........I think the schools put an end to them because they often led to some harmless violence......stuff that both sides laugh at to this day.....it could be fun , but someone always goes overboard

the fact is this..........MOST of the time, X AND T are the best 2 teams in the state.Why would you put them in the same district? The 2 best teams should square off in the state title game........if you think that they aren't , then tell your coach to play your team up into 6a .......if you don't do it, SHUT UP........no one gave a crud when X and T were virtual nothings in the 50's and early 60's, no help came our way. We just got better. High school football in Kentucky is going to be run by cry babies. What an insult to the game.

6 classes for 221 schools seems a bit ludicrous, when more schools play basketball ......why not have 8 basketball champions as well

What a game that was! Brohm was absolutely phenominal in that one! Elder could have won this dual , but muffed several chances in the red zone.

Hey ......It was a corner blitz that they were using ! He was in Brohms' face after 1 step!......Still , it was a game that Trinity should have won blowing 3 chances inside the 10,going for 6 instead of the sure 3 . I remember Matt Brady intercepting a pass &returning it 40 yards and the offense went 3 and out . I also remember a sideline pass getting picked by MBA and Brian Brohm chasing the kid down from behind after he had about a 25 yard head start on him. MBA was tiring in the 4th qtr., thats when the flag kept going their way.Still , it was the start of a great series that is very entertaining and played hard by both teams. I hope it continues forever. Beatty vs. Rutledge has a legendary ring to it !

How about that ladies and gents......another Private school slap .....................was it not an all Private school final? It seems to me that more people are sending their children to Private schools these days.....and more and more seem to open up............I think that before I die, The Private schools will be the majority !:scared:

...........obvious that the home city team has a certain advantage............... What can the KHSAA do to balance this out ? They sure did throw the boomerang at football. Will the same be done for baseball(somehow), or do they just do that type of thing when Louisville schools are winning? .......any thoughts ?..........Louisville people , heres your chance to speak up. You know that I am going to take a blistering from our Lexington friends ! It is huge to sleep in your own bed , go to BP at your school , then head to your home towns' minor league stadium for baseball. nothing there is strange or puts you that much in awe, because you've seen it all before. Sure , some of the BEECH boys were there 2 years ago, but certainly all of the Lex Cath kids have either been there or played there before. yes , game 3 of the tourney, still I think that there is a home field advantage for any Lexington school. Nothing like home sweet home !:argue:

Lex Cath is in great shape pitching wise.............Does Beechwood have any arms left for tonight.............Lex Cath has to be the prohibited favorite here; but it is one game , not a series, anything can happen 7 pm .......should be a blast
