Yikes! Coach Wheeler will get Butler back to being competitive, but they are not very good this year. A bunch of freshmen playing on the varsity level. With that said, I'd say this means Uh, oh for Central and the gauntlet they have coming up. After Shawnee they play Bullitt East, CovCath, CAL, DeSales, and end with Mayfield on the road.

Moeller 46-42 in the JV game Trinity trailed 39-20 (3 long pass plays Moeller) but the Rocks took a 42-39 lead with 1 minute left Interception at midfield with 35 seconds left, but the LBer tried to run with it and he fumbled. Moeller picked it up and ran 50 yards for the winning TD. It was pretty wild. I was leaving an hour before the end of the game. Glad I didn't leave. Great games for both programs!

I guess they said Moeller has TWO freshman teams? They had someone cancel, so they brought them both. Looked like they had 150 kids on the sidelines. Was a good game. The baby Rocks don't have tons of depth, but really good top-end kids. Moeller lots of kids and lots of talent.

Pretty good showing from the Baby Rocks! Had to leave after the first half, but looks very good. Two QBs were used when I was there, including Tom Jurich's grandson, who is very good. Also, a Quick and a Haskins (and they are both very Quick!). Lots and lots of good skill kids.

Yes, if memory serves me, in the Lampley era, the middle stripe was gray, and then at least one set around that time was a black stripe. A nice blend. Anyway, nice to talk about the unis since the game was so bad. Hope the PRP QB is ok. Kid was a gamer in the first quarter until he got hurt.

Was looking at scores from past games. Interesting, Male is playing at Butler for two straight years? Is that because of the turf not being finished?

I believe Central also lost six of the top eight tacklers on defense. Should be a good start for Manual! 38-14

All reports so far, Ballard is a mess. Should be OK skill-wise, but they did lose A LOT on the lines. Interested to see what BE will do here and against Boyle County.

Saw it mentioned on one of the local TVs that Holy Cross only has like 5 seniors. So mainly sophomores and juniors on the roster.

I'll give St. X the edge here. They should be really good this year. Still not sure the O-line will be great. Heard Ballard was atrocious last week. So this will be a better measuring stick. As far as FD, they'll be fine by the end of the year.

Been around a long time. And I don't disagree with some of your points. But the way one of these games was described to me - how it ended - I doubt that has been something going on for a long time. Wasn't just physical football or a 'football fight.'

Just catching up on this and heard some rumblings this week. I, for one, hope the KHSAA does something to make a statement about this. Make someone an example, and it might deter others from doing the same thing. Ok, maybe wishful thinking, but at least try. Heard some negative things about Valley and Atherton in 7-on-7 and now in scrimmage. Crazy. If it's happening now, what happens when it's a real game?

I know I have said this a few times in years past, but I will say it again. Manual should be a contender in 6-A. I mean like a legit, real chance to win the title. Good OL, great RB, solid skill guys. A few games might have to win 50-40, but they can do it. Have said it before, and they made me look silly.

Holy smokes! Had no idea but just saw TV thing here in Louisville and they said in two years Davis is: 22-0 with 18 earned runs allowed and 127 strikeouts in like 100 innings. Wow!
