Moeller (OH) 28 Trinity 3
This game went almost EXACTLY as I thought it would play out. We have ZERO offense, and it is a massive problem. More losses on the way.

Trinity at Moeller (OH) Predictions/Updates
I can’t make a pick in this game. Why? Would I go head or heart? Are they one the same page? Not sure. Here’s what I’ll say. If it’s low scoring, Rocks win. if not, it won’t be pretty. no shame in either result. It’s Game 2.

Trinity 17 Carmel (IN) 7
Happy with the win….but that’s in the rear view mirror now. Offensively we have extensive work to do. We are missing that explosiveness that we are accustomed to. I love our defense, but this will not be the offense of old. That’s going to take some getting used to, and it will hurt us in a couple of games this season. Areas that stuck out to me: protection route running North / south running passing Alas, it’s just week 1, and it was a W. So I’m happy.

Trinity at Carmel (IN) Predictions/Updates
I have only hearsay to report. This team is still very very young, with a lot of key parts to replace. They have the talent, but now the rubber meets the road. The defense looks to be stout. Can they win this tough road opener? I'm not sure. But I do know that they're up for the challenge. I'm just not sure that's enough in a Week 1 scenario. However, it poses a great learning opportunity. I look for a close battle, that will point towards a successful 2022 campaign.

Trinity being sued by WLKY sports director Fred Cowgill
This is what I've been told about the real Fred Cowgill....and more stories like this are coming to the surface. Think David Simms (Don Johnson) from Tin Cup, or better yet Phil Mickelson...... simply frauds. Hopefully a retirement is in the very near future.

Trinity being sued by WLKY sports director Fred Cowgill
Think about the Pandora's Box that could come of it.....an official gets hurt, why can't he then sue. On so many levels, this needs to be shot down.

Trinity being sued by WLKY sports director Fred Cowgill
Agree with you 100%. He should withdraw the suit, offer a public apology with hat in hand....

Trinity being sued by WLKY sports director Fred Cowgill
Let me say, that I've had the utmost respect for Fred, until today. Why in the world attack a school that grants you absolute freedom in roaming the sidelines. Trinity has always had a "congested" sideline. However, in this example, not even remotely. You see the other videographer to his right, clearly gets out of the way. Maybe had other "factors" in play that night. I have no idea. But I know Dr. Mullen, and if I were him, I would fight this to the end, on principle alone. Fred should be embarrassed by this action. How in the world, he thought this would play out well, I will never know. I hope that he retires in the very near future. He has embarrassed our entire local media, and there's no turning back at this point. He deserves nothing but the shame that he is being for this. You want to cover our "exceptional athletes" (his words, not mine), then do so at your own risk.

St. Mary's (MO) 22 Trinity 19
No surprise. We just don’t have it this year.
-
St. Xavier 35 Trinity 28
No surprise to me here....this season simply isn't going to work out remotely like we're used to. I will say, the cupboard appears to be far from bare, so potentially the future is bright.

St. Rita (IL) 27 Trinity 14
I am still sitting here concerned....while it's elitist to say, sitting at #3 doesn't sit well with me. We have numerous examples in front of us, where things haven't righted yet.... see Highlands after Mueller, and X post Glaser. If we don't figure out the offense, not only will it impact this year. It will have an impact for years to come.

Trinity vs. La Salle (OH) Predictions/Updates
I actually think we break through the win column here. But we have so so much work to do....

BluegrassPreps Class 6A Pre-Season Football Rankings
Until proven, or shown otherwise, this offense at Trinity, is a major major concern for me. Defensively we will be very sound. But if you're on the field most of the game, it will be an issue against top level competition.

Trinity - 2021 Schedule
I'm very very concerned about our program right now. We just lost a legend. I'm not a huge fan of keeping a staff after coach leaves (ie Kragthorpe era)....I guess that we shall see. But the offensive game planning is a concern for me. Hope y'all have been well.....been away awhile, but now it's almost kickoff time. #TrinityForever

Trinity Hires Jay Cobb
Any guesses who has the highest pressure job in Kentucky for the '21 season?

Open Job: Trinity
We did that....also, we would change it now and again...some years the audibles were states north and south, east and west...some years mascots, never colors or anything like that.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the bunch attack....

Open Job: Trinity
I really really really hope so brother.

Open Job: Trinity
I am excited about this hire....but will be honest. I am very concerned about who our OC is going to be. Just because they know our system, doesn't mean that given certain situations and scenarios, we'll have the right play called. That hasn't been a concern over the last 21 years with Beatty, Cove, and Sam Adams.... hoping that continues.

2019 All-BluegrassPreps.com Team Discussion
I will say this. There is a glaring mistake on the offense. One that is so egregious, it concerns me that not enough due diligence was done to evaluate all of the players.

Kentucky HS Football All Decade Team
I hate to bash, but I really feel that he was recruited and touted mostly due to size, and padding stats against far inferior talent. He was a D1 talent, no doubt, but would never have seen the field at Alabama.

Is it time for Bob Beatty to leave Trinity?
This, right here. People may not believe this. But Bob is a big time run type of coach. When they are passing, it's mainly with putting the players in the right position to make plays. At the high school level, if you have proper protection, the right scheme, and an adequate QB, you can move the ball. It's only when you can pound the rock, that you can truly dictate the outcome of the game. Our lines were great this season. On both sides of the ball. Deuce is right, we went vanilla in the first game against Male. I'm not saying I disagreed with that game plan. But I'll say this. We were, indeed, the better team. That was shown on Sunday. re: Bob retiring. It's coming. It won't be next season, but after that, I don't imagine he'll be around for long. He was not planning on being here as long as he has. But, Louisville does this to people. It's a great place to live, his immediate family has stayed here. Factor all of that in, with our community, and I can understand the desire to stay. That being said, my biggest fear, or concern, is for the next man to step up. I, for one, hope we do another national search. This job is a top 15-20 job in the country. It deserves that caliber of coach. Trinity Forever
