Matt Elam, John Hardin High School, 6’7” 372 DT, class of 2014, 5 star recruit, #21 rated prospect in the nation. Selected for Army All American game in 2014. Heavily recruited by Alabama and Kentucky. Visited by Nick Saban. Selected Kentucky.

I hate to bash, but I really feel that he was recruited and touted mostly due to size, and padding stats against far inferior talent. He was a D1 talent, no doubt, but would never have seen the field at Alabama.

Mason Molique - Ryle HS - PK. Mason is high on the list in many KHSAA Kicking records. A 4 year varsity kicker who put up big numbers and earned a scholarship to kick at the D1 level at EKU. Mason was ranked very high nationally coming out of HS, and was the #1 ranked kicker out of KY in 2019 class. (NKR, CSK) Expect big things from Mason this season on Saturday’s.

DB Jeremy Clark - Madisonville

Played Safety/Corner for Michigan and Drafted by the NY Jets

DL/OLB Josiah Powell - Madisonville

OLB for the Navy Midshipmen and currently serving his Country

Great call!

I would replace Clayton Bush with Clark!

Jamale Carothers was a hard name to leave off on my list.

Most surprising career:

WR/DB Keelan Cole, Central

Cole was a very late bloomer and really didn't see a ton of action or notoriety at Central as a DB. Went to Kentucky Wesleyan and had a nice career at a small level. Undrafted Free Agent but has since earned a spot in the NFL as a WR with Jacksonville.

Keelan Cole's 'amazing story' nears Super Bowl
