6A #3 Trinity (0-3) will host La Salle (OH) (2-1). Trinity is coming off a 27-14 loss to Illinois power St. Rita. La Salle which is ranked #7 in Ohio according to Calpreps.com is coming off a 58-7 loss to #1 in the nation IMG Academy.

Trinity was led by QB Brady Willis who threw 187 yards and a touchdown against St. Rita. Chris Whittington was was the leading receiver with 67 yards. The Trinity defense held St. Rita to 199 yards including 82 yards rushing and 117 yards passing.

La Salle has wins over Colerain (OH) and Winton Woods (OH). La Salle is led by 4 star RB Gi Bran Payne who is rated the #23 RB in the nation by the 247 sports composite recruit rankings and committed to Indiana University.

This looks to be a good matchup and potentially a low scoring game as both teams have good defenses. Who wins?

It’ll be a good game, but I just don’t think Trinity will have enough to beat La Salle. I’ll take La Salle 31-17.

I listened to Prep Rally Podacast this morning that has the Courier Journal HS reporters Jason Frakes and Dominique Yates. One thing I learned is La Salle against Winton Woods didn't score a offensive touchdown. They kicked 4 field goals, had a pick six, and got a safety.
