Your last two sentences speaks volumes of your character. That is sometimes lacking in posters on here. I am sorry I took those as personal attacks on one of the finest human beings I know.

Well when you play for a moron of a coach, and your arch in foot wouldn't grow with your foot, I guess he would seem lazy to you. He was also very young for his class and a late developer.......Why don't you cal up Zeke and tell him how you feel....I am sure he would have some words for you...

I believe Schlarman was the best Defensive lineman to ever play at Highlands.....He is the best d lineman I have seen in High School in the state of Kentucky since 1990.

I have never seen district games also played as bowl games. Not trying to start anything, just making an observation.

Mr.Vicars will have a nice state championship ring the rest of his life while 90% of the people on here will forget who was on that team next year.

Best individual performance I have ever seen in a state championship game was by Eric Shelton of Bryan Station when they lost to St. X in overtime. I honestly felt he was the reason Station was even in the game. Shelton was phenominal in that game. As for a group defensive effort, I will go with '92 Highlands. Coming into the game the Mr. Football winner that year Billy Jack Haskins needed 74 yards to become the states all-time leading passer. He did not get it until the 4th quarter, and he almost didn't get it........

I would say one great coach that no one has mentioned, who has 3 state championships, and had a 42 game winning streak, is Mike Holcomb from Breathitt County. What he has done there is outstanding. He is not only a great coach but a great human being.

I remember alot of people on here talking aboiut East Jessamine going 3-7, etc. I think Coach Bowlin has done a wonderful job. He is honestly a student of the game when it comes to football and I am glad to see his years of hard work [aying off. Great job My buddy MB.

I think Mercer drops it to a EKY team who has a decent defense and can score points...i.e. Middlesboro or Russell. Mercer is not that tough.

The '98 Middlesboro team was absolutely loaded with talent. They were an untouchable 1A team that year. It was a pleasure to watch Skidmore run the Veer that year.

The Highlands Freshmen team has an outstanding coach who will be an absolute phenominal varsity coach. His name is Nick Behymer. He calls the defense, look at their scores and you can catch a glimpse. Nick knows he always has a spot on my staff.

My main point is, why are they playing in 2A? This should have been addressed by the KHSAA.

They are going to be a 5A school next year and they are 2A this season. If they lose a game this year or do not win their state game by at least 4 TD's......then they will not fair to well in 5A next year. No team in 2A should be able to counter their size, speed, etc.
