Nice win EJ. Isn't the EJ Jags much improved from a year ago?

You couldn't even tell Harrison Co. had on white uniforms.

You couldn't even tell Harrison Co. had on white uniforms.

I just saw the highlights and that had to be one of the muddiest/worst fields I have ever seen. East will host Franklin (assuming Franklin takes care of Harrison )in round 1 on this field as well.

Can there be one blade of grass left?

Hrrison lost the ball early and often and fell behind 21-0 with 9:30 to go in the first half. Harrison made it 21-7 and really could have made some noise, but a no-call on what should have been a pass interference against East Jessamine helped stop a Harrison County scoring drive late in the first half.

I saw the highlights on the news and couldn't believe the condition of that field. Was it that way from the start or did two running teams just wear it out? Big win for East and a nice turn around from last season.

Why such poor field conditions? Obviously, the entire area has had plenty of rainfall....but there wasn't one other highlight that indicated any other field is such dire conditions. Just odd.

Looks like Jessamine County got more rain than anyone else in the state.

They have the kind of grass that dies at the first sign of cold weather and that was the 4th game on that field this week. JV game on Monday, 2 Middle School Games on Thursday and then this one. That is what I was told by their coaches. Of course, last year we had the same field conditions at West Jessamine and the ground around the field was cracked open dry. They blamed that on the sprinkler system. At least the ground around the field was wet last night too.

I remember alot of people on here talking aboiut East Jessamine going 3-7, etc. I think Coach Bowlin has done a wonderful job. He is honestly a student of the game when it comes to football and I am glad to see his years of hard work [aying off. Great job My buddy MB.

This was a good win for East now we have to focus on the playoffs no offense to Bourbon Co. but we will win big. East has to get ready for Franklin or Harrison in the first round of the playoffs cause those teams will be tough. If we can get past the first round of the playoffs then we prepare for Catholic to give them some payback. East is hot at the right time now it is time to make a deep run into the playoffs. Let's get past the second round this year guys and go up to Highlands or play Cov Cath and win region.
