Well happytrails, my info is dead on although the idea for fishing is a little old, but it is true. I would say that no one from the administration would show up at the game if it was at Newport, since they rarely attend any other games anyway.

Things must be truning the corner at Campbell County. There has been a push within the High School to satrt a new KHSAA sanctioned sport at CCHS. They are looking to propose to the KHSAA to introduce fishing as a sport. They have a pond on sight and the team would be coached by John "Red Snapper" Hardy, the Asst. Principal. Also in the works, CCHS and Newport High School also both have open dates at the beginning of 2007 season. A game could be in the mix.

In 1990 Belfry shalacked us (Highlands) 30-8(I think). They were getting pay back from the year before when we beat them in the semifinals in overtime.

When we played in this bowl game i enjoyed it, except for the toxic pre game meal they fed us. It was horrible...ha ha ha

Play it in UK's Nutter facility. I am sure you could 2,000 people in there with some temporary stands......I am way to sarcastic.

When KY football moves to 6 classes next year, Pendleton will be in with Mason, Carter, Bourbon, etc.

Here is where you have things all mixed up. The field will be bought and paid for by NEWPORT SCHOOLS. They exclusive rights to who does/does not play on it and for how much they will charge is totally up to the Newport BOE. I am 100% positive on this.

I am not sure about now but in 1988 someone tried to play Freshmen football and in the Ft. Thomas youth league as an 8th grader and he was not allowed. I am not sure if it was a school league or what.

Come up with a sponsor(s) for the game and it would be no problem. Although you would have to come up with some serious money for a great number of things, including a place to stay and meals for a week for two teams. I think the reason they do not have one is because of this factor.

And coach Derossett is one of the finest individuals that has ever lived!

I would rather be 11-2 and lose to two state champions than 5-5 ANYDAY of the week.

NKY teams that run a 3-5 have 8 defenders. That is why it is 7 on 8. This is not a new thing.

Murray needs all the help they can get, they did not win an OVC game last year. Has that ever happend before?

What does this mean? That same 2A school put up about 7 TD's on Campbell in a passing league last week. Schlarman did a great deal for the players at Campbell. Some old assistants that went on to other schools were still helping Campbell kids try to get into college to play football at the end of this season. Schlarman is at a better place now and I am sure he is happier. I would say the fact that they are getting field turf speaks volumes of the support that Newport has for competitive athletics. Where at Campbell the football team is no more important than the science club. But congratulations on having 75 kids come out for freshmen football, Campbell needs all the help they can get.

I am glad they got Schlarman out of there too. Now Campbell can continue to regain the once total domination of Northern Kentucky football they had in prior years.

They are allowed to stunt, they can bring one guy in addition to the four down lineman.

Maybe the coach who gets beat by more than 50 should be suspended for the following week too. LOL

I think the play up factor will change the numbers way too much. It should be decided and people should accept it. No matter what happens, people will be upset either way.

Well if the hiring of the principal has deterred the first two candidates, I guess it is a bigger concern for football coaches than ladies basketball.

One thing that has not been mentioned on here was the TOTAL SUPPORT from the administration which is lacking from a majority of schools in this commonwealth.
