Marshall Co @ Graves Co

Featured Replies

Both teams come in with identical 7-2 records and both are coming off 2 key district losses to WCentral and Christian Co...I think these teams are pretty even with the edge going to the Marshalls mainly because of there star RB Alan Williams...Both have solid line play. If it's a rainy nasty night, that'll favor the Eagles and negate the speed advantage the Marshalls have, but, if it the field conditions are good then the Marshalls should have a few more playmakers and pull it out....Who wins and why? What's everyone else think?

I don't know that Marshall has more playmakers than Graves. They do have a better playmaker than anyone the Eagles have. When the Marshals get into 4A competition, they have decidedly less weapons than most of the big boys they face and have to rely on their defense.

This game is always hard to predict as it is a big-time rivalry game usually with some type of playoff implications on the line. The biggest question...other than field conditions...will be which team bounces back after after last weeks blowout losses to Warren Central and Christian County. I have to give the edge to Marshall County based on Barga's ability to throw the ball slightly better than Sanderson of Graves County which in turn should back off the Eagles bull rush of a pass defense. Of course this is assuming that he can throw a wet ball and how well the Marshal's receivers can catch a wet ball. I also give the Marshals a slight edge in the kicking game...but just slightly. I see a close game with Marshall County coming out with a squaker of a win...21-20.

Marshall Co. in a close one 20-19.

I think Law Dawg has the Marshalls rolling.

Marshall 17

Graves 10

Should be close one!!!! And wet I might add!!!!!!!
