Mayo DOES have a concussion. I heard about an hour ago that he was still in the hospital. This is his third concussion in one year. Prayers are with you John Micheal.

The first half was a real nail biter! I thought Pikeville did their job, but ran out of steam going into half time, and that is to be expected when we play a 4A team like Henry Clay. Keep those heads up Panthers, not a bad showing at all.

Jeez, we haven't even played THIS week's game yet!!!

Any time you have a 4A Heavy-weight playing a 1A middle-weight, it SHOULD be a blowout! Who scheduled this game anyway?! I like for the panthers to play "up", but jeez, this is ridiculous!:jump:

3 starting DEFENSIVE linemen were out.......as well as two starting running backs, Chaz Jackson and Daniel Harmon. It was pretty even, with both bright spots and BAD spots. But hey, isn't that what it's for?!

who and how many did they lose to graduation? I think it will be a sub-par year for Pburg standards. I mean, they will be decent, but with their loses to graduation, and they tend to get better as the season progresses, they may go 5-5 on the season....oneijoe, what's your take?

Do we even have to talk about it this early?! The Panthers have worked so hard during the off-season, I don't want to start talking about this game yet. Jeesh, what can you say? A single A school playing a 4A powerhouse to start off the season.......but we will soon see.

Pikeville only lost one starter on the defensive line. The honaker twins return, along with the Jackson brothers. Jordan Tibbs, Clay Elliott, Bradley Bryant, Casey Rowe, Ryan Shurtleff all return as linemen. Mayo, Sword, Harmon, just to mention a few. Will Lockhart and Weston Robinson will be sorely missed.

You are right. Where will he be playing? I thought he was playing back-up QB. Has he been moved to another position? Also, Trey Branham will step right in on the line. Which side, I don't know.

How many seniors does Paintsville have to replace? Didn't they lose a bunch to graduation? How many seniors will paintsville have this year?

My son went to Pikeville and graduated with honors. He took every AP class that the school had to offer. His "PE/Bodybuilding" class was his only "escape" of the day. Had it not been for that who knows? There is an argument for both sides of the coin. The class is good for those honor students as well, that just need to "get out some frustrations" or to break up a grueling day of classes. Just thought I'd throw in my two cents!
