Henry Clay 31 Pikeville 0

Featured Replies

Final.

Pikeville had two drives where they should have scored. Obviously outmanned by Henry Clay, but a respectable effort all things considered.

Sophomore RB Daniel Harmon with 126 yards rushing is Pikeville's MVP.

Congrats HC...

The Panthers put up a good fight but Henry Clay wore them down...Hopefully the Panthers can get a win next week.

The first half was a real nail biter! I thought Pikeville did their job, but ran out of steam going into half time, and that is to be expected when we play a 4A team like Henry Clay. Keep those heads up Panthers, not a bad showing at all.

I didn't see the game...From what I am hearing...The Panthers did put up a fight...just not a quality matchup....why schedule a game that we know we can not win....go get em' boys...finish the season off right...undefeated the rest of the season.....

Our Boys have nothing to hang theyre heads about. Hope all the ones that got hurt are OK. This is something to build on considering the final score is what most thought the score at halftime was going to be. Theyre is no such thing as a good loss but I feel alot better about our season than I did a year ago after the NCC game.

Sounds like a credible performance by the Panthers ...

I got a update and the half and it was 7-0 sounds like Pikeville is for real this year. How did the former corbin boys do?

Actually it was 14-0 at the half and we were driving half way through the 3rd quarter to cut the lead to a touchdown and stalled.

Mitch did ok got in on some tackles on defense. Chaz rolled his ankle but hes gonna be alright. And yes we are for real we were physically stronger up front than they were too bad the offense we run doesnt show that but we will get better.

Great showing by the Panthers!! Henry Clay is the best team Pikeville will face all year, and we more than held our own. Not a big fan of this offense, though. Prayers go out for John Michael.

Henry Clay scored with a few seconds left in the half to make it 14-0, which was big. Pikeville had been to the HC 5 earlier, so with some luck it could have been 7-7 at the half. Pikeville wasn't going to win the game because HC had great skill people and was wearing them down, but it could have been closer. Pikeville snapping it back 7 yards on 3rd and 2 from the HC 5 (4 down territory) gave me a terrible headache. Count me in on hating that offense also. I've never seen Pikeville line it up under center and try to get a tough yard rushing when they need to (like they have been able to do 99% of the time for the last 50 years, before running this offense). You can NOT beat a good team if you can't do that or don't have the will to do that.

Anyone have any info on Mayo?

According to players Mayo was responding to Dr. Shockey on the sideline.

What happened to Mayo? Hope he is OK.
