What is the outlook on the season? Will they approve from last year?

What players standout? Will 2nd year head coach Mike Bowlin lead them to the playoffs?

They will be lucky to reach .500. Maybe a 4th place finish in District.

They may improve, but the playoffs might be difficult to reach. I agree with Slink. Maybe a 4th place finish in District.

Will they approve what from last year?

Are there running backs returning this year? They were pretty tough last year.

Rex Hager is returning, as is Matt Whitley. Doesn't matter if there is no discipline from the top.

From 3-7. Everything as a team. I'm sure they'll be well disciplined this year.

What makes you so sure they will be disciplined this year?

I have been watching the two football programs in jessamine county. West is having trouble with coaches and lost a lot to graduation. I look for them to have a down. East fell on hard times last year. They had a new coach last year and lost some key kids to injuries. I am hearing a lot of good things from kids at east. They expect to get back on the winning side if things this year. Good Luck to both school.

I talked with some of West's players the other day. They feel that they will have a good season and are working hard to back it up. They feel that having switched coaches (3rd coach in 3 months)has hurt them.

When Coach Mike Bowlin coached at Grant County, they didnt win a lot. But his team always played hard no matter how much they where down. They where very undiscplined when he first came in but that changed very quickly. Being a disciplined team doesent mean your going to win more. But I look for them to win 7 or 8 games.

Did Bowlin ever have a winning record at Grant? How did Grant the first year of the post Bowling era?

East can't help but improve from a 3-7 record they were very young last year and they will improve this year. As for the playoffs you heard it hear they will definitely make it.

He never had a winning record at Grant.

2-8 1rst year

1-9 2nd year

2-8 3rd year

4-6 4th year (5-5 due to forefeit)

The program was on the rise before he left. Some players quit when he left, One of them even moved and played for him at East Jessamine.

Grant went 4-6 again after Bowlin left. (schedule was MUCH easier then the previous 4 years)

But thats beside the point. Were talking about EJHS. I do hope they do good this year and make the playoffs.

7 wins is bold. Who do they play outside of the district?
