Yes, this was the season opener for the Camels.

That is typical for Buddy. He usually will only go 7 or 8 deep and his teams are in such great shape they still wear down the opposition. Helluva coach and great friend. Your going to love him if you like up and down basketball. The way the game is supposed to be played. Don't worry about having more than 8 players. His system is very effective and he has proven in the past that he is a winner. Momcat, your in for a treat.

Griffin without a doubt. Week after week, spectular catch after spectular catch, we are talking over 65 catches and nearly 1600 yards. Let's hope the gets the chance to play at the next level. Great kid and good student.

Camels thanks for a great season !!!! Best year since the 94' team that only lost twice. Both times to Shaun Alexander and his Boone Co. Rebels. A special thanks to the seniors. I can remember watching you as freshman. You have brought Camel football back to respectability. I have to think Brandon Griffin of Campbell County would get to play at the next level. Over 60 receptions, 1500 yards and 16 TD's should earn him a spot somewhere next year.

I think the whistle was blown by mistake so they replayed the down not exactly sure though.

Great game by Ferris of Boone County as he ran the opening kickoff 96 yards for a TD and scores two more as well. A great high school game to watch. :sleep: That stuff is history. We are talking about this season and beside it takes more than one person to win a game. P C had the better team, end of story. It all hype til the season starts and then the players decide who is the best.

Got my copy today at Barnes and Noble on the Newport levee.

Some pop bottles were thrown on the field by the Dixie student section, nearly hitting some of the Camel players and coaches. Dixie's coach came over and told them it was classless and they should be thrown out of the game if they found out who did it. I thought it was a good gesture by the Dixie coach. It was one heck of a high school football game, intense all the way.

Let me tell you about Coach Biggs philosophy on taking out starters. He plays his until the other team takes theirs out. If they do that then he will take his out. Until then, its fair game.

Highlands and an Ashland meeting would pit two old 10th region coaches in Schlarman ( Brossart) and Biggs ( Pendleton Co. ). A great rivalry rekindled in the AIT.
