Best WR and QB in NKY??

Featured Replies

Who do you think Is the Best WR and QB in the NKY this season??

Probably a little biased opinion here but CCH Bleser to Sutton and Bovard would be very tough to beat.

I dont think you can get much better than Bleser to Sutton and Bovard.

If you go by the stats it's not even close.

It has to be Brown to Griffen at Campbell County.

As you know stats can be very misleading, Campbell has played in a very weak district and feasted on lesser competition. If they were playing against St. X, Highlands twice, Elder and Waterson there numbers would not be close. But yes they have had a very nice year

Griffen-Brown hands down the best WR-QB tandem in NKY f-ball.

Bleser to sutton

Bovard and Sutton you can't get two better WRs in NKY and possibly the state. And when you have bleser throwing to them you just can't stop it

I've seen all of the above play this year, and I have a few comments. First, all of the mentioned WR's are top notch. Honestly, I'm not sure that either Brown or Bleser are the best QB's in NKY, but the 3 WR's mentioned definately are. Bleser would certainly be in the mix for a best QB discussion, but I've seen some kids from other schools that, if they were given CovCath's talent, might be better. I guess if I have to pick a "best" comibination from one team it might be Bleser to Bovard. If from any team, maybe Harris to Griffin? I'm really not sure.

I'm a stat hound, and you can twist numbers any way you like but you really can't look past Griffin's numbers, 1,300 receiving yards is INSANE. He may not be the best but he almost out tallied the top running number this season.

You're actually making an arguement for Campbell fans. Campbell's duo were FAR ahead of anyone else in NKY in most categories at the end of the season. Under a different schedule, maybe their numbers would have been far lower, thus putting them back in with the rest of the top of the pack.

I'm not knocking the CovCath guys, I mentioned Bovard in a all-state thread several weeks ago (before THE CATCH) and nobody else even gave him a sniff. He's really good. But, Griffin's numbers are huge, you can't dismiss that because they didn't play ST. X.

As for best QB, as I said earlier this year, I think that's a relative term in NKY this year. There are no Ellison's, Stellman's, O'Toole's, Guidugli's, et al. Bleser is playing very well, but he's in the last month of his career. A lot of the other qb's this year are still young and learning the posistion.

I havent seen Brown since his sophomore year when he was thrown into the Lion's den against Highlands and got mauled. However, I have followed his career and he has had a great one. However, after watching Josh Bleser live yesterday... I would say he is the BEST QB. He has great size, a cannon for an arm (throws the best out pattern I have seen in high school) and is a great leader.

WR- I would say Brandon Griffin..anybody that can differentiate himself like he has this year above the likes of Bovard, etc....(yardage gap)... I would give him the nod.

Griffin without a doubt. Week after week, spectular catch after spectular catch, we are talking over 65 catches and nearly 1600 yards. Let's hope the gets the chance to play at the next level. Great kid and good student.

How big is Griffen, and are colleges looking at him?

Next year pay attention to Ludlows Jarrett Rouse to Buddy Lunsford. Lunsfords becames Rouses favorite target after numerous injuries to other receivers at Ludlow and they hooked up for 20 receptions and over 200 yards in the last 2 games of the year. They should make for an exciting tandem next year.
