Old Soda

Me and Mrs. Soda will be there enjoying an old soda or two after the games.

Campbell County should make a run for their third district title in four years. They return pitchers that won 15 of their 18 wins last year and have four new starters from a JV team that won 19 games last year.

I stand corrected f or f. No eight graders try out. With that many Freshmen its tough making the team, probably some of the kids that don't would be playing on teams at smaller schools. The future for Camel baseball looks bright. 14 on the Varsity, 14 on the JV and 15 on the Freshmen team.

Campbell County had 36 for JV and Varsity and 28 for Freshman for a total of 66 for the three teams. The numbers were up, especially for the freshman team and the talent for all three teams looks pretty good.

How many times in a row is that for Mason Co. over Brossart. Brossart had a fantastic year again but it seems that Mason has had their number for several years now. I think the Royals go back to back tomorrow.

I was at the game and I though it was a very poorly officiated game. Touch fouls were called and muggings underneath were ignored. Lots of flops called charges as well. Congrats to Coach Biggs and the Tomcats, good luck Monday night.

I agree they couldn't erase that lead so why not give your other players some regional experience as well and take out your starters when they are down thirty?

As stated several times before, Coach Biggs will leave his starters in as long as the opposing team has theirs in. When the other team concedes he removes his starters, otherwise its first team against first team.

Former 10th Region players, Keaton Belcher (Pendleton Co.) and Andrew Preston (George Rogers Clark) will be playing for Belmont today on ESPN2 at 4:00 in their conference tournament. :ylsuper:

I don't see Brossart losing to Scott. Scott didn't look very good against Campbell, even with all the Camel turnovers. I say the Stangs win by 10-15.

Ashland wins 69-61 in overtime so no upset there, anything new on the stangs-grove game?

Because its the largest gym in the district and has great parking areas as well.

Second win over the Mustangs for the Royals. While Brossart's a very good team, it looks like the Royals are the team to beat in the 10th, defeating both the Mustangs and Clark this year.

Three straight for the Camels with Ryle coming up.

Put any of those six teams in the districts that Harrison and Mason have and they would have a cakewalk just like Mason and Harrison every year.

Campbell County beat Newport 76-56 I believe. Patrick Nerl, sophomore from Campbell scored 37.

Patrick Nerl of Campbell Co. put up 37 tonight against Newport in the Camel twenty point win.

We all know of instances of fan abuse at all schools. To say it doesn't exist is naive. And I have never seen an AD do what I have seen Mr Webster do on more than one occasion. I agree he is appreciated by the work he does for his school but it is not part of his job description to complain to officials. Name me another AD in the 10th you have seen do that. And many have hear him say "His little Class A school over and over again til we are tired of it. Brossart's accomplishments are many in Athletics and are great, but he sure rubs many the wrong way about them.

Congrats to the Camel JV. Bring home the District Title now, just like the Freshmen Camels !!!

romeo, who does Pendleton have returning on the hill. Are they Seniors or underclassmen? Thanks in advance for the info.

Andy Franzen is a Junior righthander and has two years left. His older brother John was a lefty pitcher for the Camel team that made it to the Regional finals in 2005. Jordan Woodruff is also a junior who got five wins last year as a sophomore. Travis Hurd and Luke Bray are both senior pitchers this year for the Camels.

Just wait until Northern Ky University gets their new 10,000 seat facility and it can be held there every year and everyone will get to see all the games. I would think that the ninth and tenth both could be held there.
