  1. I ask school officials about the numbers and they said they were true. The information came from the state fire marshall. Maybe an investigative newspaper article needs to be done to show the truth. It is el gato who is putting out false information.
  2. Bottomline, Montgomery County has a nice small gym but the revenue that schools receive from the tournament will be severly hurt if it is held at Montgomery Co. 3000 less people in a gym is a lot of money. At $5.00 per person that is $15,000 per session. Loosing $45,000 just so Montgomery Co. can say they hosted a regional is scarey to all schools in the tenth who receive money.
  3. I think Clark deserves to hold it before Montgomery Co. Clark's gym is bigger than Montgomery's and has been around longer.
  4. Wow you think Mason County sent the fire marshall to Montgomery Co? Mason's people seem pretty nice anytime I am around them. Montgomery's gym looks much smaller and it is hard to believe it is much bigger than 3400. El gato, Is it true that rows are being taken out because they were too close to floor and people were walking in front of benches? Who was in charge of building the gym and let that mistake happen?
  5. I have heard from school officials that the state fire marshall visited the Fieldhouse and the Montgomery County gym on the same day and list Mason's gym at 5300 and the Montgomery gym at 3600. The fire marhsall is the final authority on how many a gym can seat. Can anyone contact the state fire marshal for those figures?
  6. Two big items to think about. Those schools need money to run the many sports programs all students want to participate in. Fans want to see a live exciting game. The biggest facility that holds the crowd is important. Montgomery has a very nice smaller gym. Clark is as big. Montgomery is big enough to host the girls regional but doesn't offer anything better than that big Fieldhouse gym.
  7. If the State Fire says that the gym holds only 3600 than by law Montgomery County cannot let anymore people in. They cannot squeeze in another 1000 people or they will be breaking the law and risking people's lives. No matter how early you arrive if only 3600 can get in than what do the rest of the people do watch in on a TV in the old gym. Who wants to do that?
  8. 3600 is not a big gym. It is a nice gym but cannot hold the crowds they have for the 10th region. It is nice having room to see a game. If Montgomery has trouble holding a regular season game with Clark than how do they expect to hold a regional tournament game.
  9. I want to be able to see the game! If I travel to Montgomery Co for a region game and am not allowed in because of full capacity than that is terrible. 3600 is not a big gym. I thought Clark Co had that big of a gym. I guess Montgomery could not afford to build a big gym.
  10. Knowles is good but hides last 3 minutes of a big game. Jones has been hurt. Heard that Royals were going to play a triangle and 2 on Clark! O'Hearn is digging deep in his playbook,
  11. GRC should win at home but who can guard Miller and Middleton? GRC's schedule is light if you take out fifth third classic.
  12. Is Montgomery County taking rows of seats out of gym because bench is right next to sideline? Heard fans would walk in front of bench and it is a nightmare for coaches and players.
  13. Sullivan would be welcomed back at Mason County anytime he wants
  14. I heard State Fire Marshall measured Montgomery County and Mason Counties Gyms to determine seating capacity? Not sure if it is true but Mason County's seating was 5300??? Montgomery Counties was only 3600??
