  1. Thanks Copperhead, can't get the station here. Keep those updates coming. I really appreciate it. Sounds like a great game.
  2. I agree Sir, the Eagles had a great season. How many seniors did they have this year?
  3. I agree with you Bulldog. Enough of this senseless bashing. Two years, four years, what has happened in the past has nothing to do with either programs future. Both will always be competitive and the district will always be one of the strongest in the 10th and represent itself well. Peace !! Its not exactly a world dilemma, if both or neither of the team ever make it again or win every year. It is after all only high school sports.
  4. Excuse me for ever questioning the wisdom of the Brossart coaching staff. It was the left fielders error that cost them the game not their pitching. Uebel did a good job tonight just got a little tired at the end and it sure wasn't the second pitchers fault that the ball went through the left fielders legs, that led to the winning run....Still a good season for the Stangs and for the Eagles of Scott. They represented the 37th District well.....Lets face it Sports3311, ours is a good rivalry and hopefully always will be. As far as I am concerned we both have good programs and will continue to in the future.
  5. Bush didn't look especially sharp in his start against Campbell Co. I thought the second pitcher, Atkins, I believe was his name, looked better than Bush. But he could have just been off that day and this could be his day. Should be two good games for the fans..
  6. Honestly I wasn't trying to do that at all. I like Ky Thorobred just thought it was strange. I commend St. Pat for making it but they are not on the same level as the four teams left in the tournament and I just thought it kinda strange that the ace went against them. I am sure the Mustang staff has some sort of reason for doing it. Whether it costs them or not remains to be seen.
  7. The four best teams in the semis. Cant wait to see the games tomorrow.
  8. Are you kidding? They pitched Mutsch against St. Pats? WOW that is a shocker. He has signed to play at Xavier next year. How much did he pitch? Is he done for the rest of the tournament? If so, you have to question that decision.
  9. Gotta go with the Colonels, those homers at Boone are flyouts at Champions.
  10. Yeah that makes sense. Succeed in a job that pays $8 bucks an hour when you have the rest of your life to work and never play high school baseball again...good thinking. If you think its a waste of time it probably is if thats the attitude and effort they are going to put into it.
  11. Guess it depends of what you consider good and if they really want to play.
  12. Camels scheduled included several other quality opponents but rainouts had a lot to do with who they play. Their record against the top teams in the region the last few years has been about .500. 4-3 against the Mustangs, 2-3 against Harrison. They lost to Clark this year 2-1 so I wouldn't exactly say they've been playing an easy schedule. The Harrison game was rained out at Harrison and a Tournament at Taylor Co. that included Eastern, Taylor Co. and Central Hardin was also cancelled. Lexington Christian beat them 12-10. If you check the Canel schedule out for the last few seasons they play a very competitive schedule.
  13. The JV team when 19-8 and the Freshmen were 14-4 and the Varsity was 19-13. Sure sounds like a program going the wrong way. There is quite a bit of difference in Freshman ball and JV and Varsity Ball. Very few freshman play Varsity Ball and make an impact. If they can play everyday and gain experience, why put them on the upper level and have them not get to play everyday. Seems me, me, me in today's world instead of team team team could be part of the supposed problem.
  14. Should be a great tourney. Especially the semi-finals if the favorites all win.
  15. I agree Bob is a great coach, no doubt about it. Their district is probably the toughest in the 10th. The Mustangs and the Camels have ruled the district for a long time and Pendleton had some very successful teams in the old district.
  16. Seems some players don't care for discipline maybe thats why they grumble. Camels have won two district titles and made it to the regional finals in 2005 and won 19 games this year. Some breakdown. By the way, the Camels beat Brossart for their two district titles and Brossart has won the last two so I'd say their pretty even. And his name is Heringer not Harringer by the way......
  17. Bracket is out, Brossart vs. ST. Pat., Harrison Co. vs Montgomery Co. in one bracket and Scott vs Mason Co. and Clark vs. Nicholas in the other. I am predicting a Harrison vs Clark final, with Clark prevailing.
  18. I still like GRC. I just think they are the best team.
  19. Playing in a weak district doesn't hurt either..........
  20. I am not disrespecting Coach Rowe. I am stating that Coach Allison has won regional titles. I didn't start the conversation by saying Coach Rowe was a better coach it was one of the Brossart faithful. I do believe this is a forum that is open to anyone unless the rules have changed so I have the right to express my opinion as well as anyone on here. Thank you very much. Even the results of next weeks region won't make any of these gentleman a better coach than the other. Allison and Whitaker each have numerous regional titles and Coach Rowe doesnt. That doesn't necessarily mean he isn't as good of a coach, just that he hasn't won one.
  21. I agree with Hilltopper 100% on that one !!:thumb:
  22. The Northern Ky. coaches evidently don't vote in the poll. No one to blame but themselves. Their more interested in voting in the Post and Enquirer polls.......
