Camels improve to 6-1 with the opening round win in the Montgomery Co. tournament. Ben Franzen paces the Camels with 23, Patrick Nerl 13, and Andy Franzen 10. Camels jumped out to a 22-5 lead after one and then Greenup scrapped their way back to take the lead in the fourth. Camels then go on another big run of 23-6 and finish off the Musketeers. Tomorrow night the Camels have Montgomery Co. at 8:00 in the semifinals. :dancingpa

What planet are you on? I believe Brossart has been one of the strongest teams in the 10th in the recent years. Brossart is just as much a 10th region team as any other in it. The teams that were moved by the state to the tenth region have acquitted themselves very well since they have been there. Both Brossart and Campbell Co. have regional basketball titles since they were moved into the region. Brossart's record in the All A speaks for itself. Don't bad mouth them for their success...... just get better yourself. OUT!!!

No, what I am saying is they are 5-1, playing good defense and I am willing to give the offense time to come around. If this were the first week of February and they were averaging 50 a game I would be concerned. I love the tough defense they are playing, its been a long time since we have seen that at CCHS. It so good to see them aggressive on the defensive end. They will score points, we all know these kids are talented enough to put the ball in the hole. What we didn't know was they were capable of getting after it for 32 minutes on defense. GOOOOOOOO CAMELS keep up the good work, both players and coaches.

I believe the offense will improve as they get acquainted with the system. It doesnt' matter if they compete with Holmes, they are in the 9th region. No one in the 10th is going to handle Mason this year and maybe no one in the state. 5-1 is 5-1 if your scoring 50 or 70. Mason did win by the way. Defense wins games always has always will. It does no good to score 70 if you give up 71.

So if they were scoring 70 a game and were still 5-1 you would be happy?

ot, you must know by now that parents are the reason most coaches get out of coaching. It's just isn't worth the hassle, having little Billy have to go home and listen to mom and dad tell him hes all world when they lose sight of basketball being a TEAM sport. How can anyone complain with 5-1? Amazing.......:madman:

I believe they are 5-1 now. As long as they continue to play good defense they well be ok. The offense will come around after a few more games. That's the good thing about playing good defense, you can have an off night offensively and still be in the game and have a chance to win. Keep up the good work Camels !!! On to the Montgomery Co. They were 2-2 coming into the game today. They had beaten Clark Co. and Mercer Co. and had lost to Lexington Catholic and Paul Dunbar. Any more details of the game? I wasn't able to make it today.
