Camels improve to 6-1 with the opening round win in the Montgomery Co. tournament. Ben Franzen paces the Camels with 23, Patrick Nerl 13, and Andy Franzen 10. Camels jumped out to a 22-5 lead after one and then Greenup scrapped their way back to take the lead in the fourth. Camels then go on another big run of 23-6 and finish off the Musketeers. Tomorrow night the Camels have Montgomery Co. at 8:00 in the semifinals. :dancingpa

Great to hear Ben having a strong proformance. Way to go Camels! What are their odds of pulling out a win in this tournament?

Looking Good!!! Go Camels!!!

Ugly game. Lots of turnovers and missed lay ups for both teams. Greenup pressed the entire game and ran 5 in and out like Tulane used to do.

I would guess both teams had at least 20 turnovers and shot less than 40% from the floor.

Campbell showed some toughness in the 4th quarter. The Camels led by about 10 at the half, but trailed by 3 at the start of the 4th. The 4th quarter they really stepped up their game and took over with their defense.

Not sure if the stat keeper was awake, but both teams listed as having only one assist......Greenup did make a strong run and took the lead after being down 20 plus. Does Greenup always rotate 5 for 5 the entire game....quite interesting, I think I even heard the coach call them 1st team, 2nd team and 3rd team....Reminded me of Junior Pro Basketball subsitutions.

Sounds like a great fourth quarter by the Camels if they were down 3 going in, and won by 17!! That defense they are playing seems to be working, despite what some of the fans may think?? When do they play Montgomery? That should be a good test for the Camels; and for Montgomery!!
