LCA 47 Campbell County 39

Final from the Bluegrass-Buckeye

Quarter Scores LCA 14 28 37 47

CC 8 18 28 39

Campbell County closed to within one at 38-37 late in the 4th Quarter, before Lexington Christian pulled away.

Nerl 10, B.Franzen 8, A.Franzen 7, Albrecht and Jolly 6 each, Parks 2

Tyler Townsend led LCA with 16

I'll get official stats up as soon as I can.

We're in a waiting period right now since the Cov. Holy Cross/Georgetown game was cancelled. The Highlands/Lakota East game is about 50 minutes from starting.

How good is LCA this year?

They were 2-2 coming into the game today. They had beaten Clark Co. and Mercer Co. and had lost to Lexington Catholic and Paul Dunbar. Any more details of the game? I wasn't able to make it today.

Campbell Co had a big player on the JV team last year that looked to be pretty decent Coffman is he still playing?

LCA is without their starting center from last year as he rehabs his knee, therefore their inside presence is not the same as it will be later in the year.

They are doing well to be without their starting center. As I said in the prediction thread...watch out for LCA..nice ball club.

Congrats on the win.

What happened to them if they were that close to end up and lose.

Little surprising, but I must admit I knew little about LCA, except they are building some serious sport's programs down there. They sound like they will be tough when their center returns. Surprised that Campbell is held to only 39 points though, and especially Albrecht with only six with the LCA center out? Did they not pound the ball into him?? Good to see Parks back playing.

Starters were pulled and Campbell County got hot, LCA put the starters back in with a 4 point lead, and a player for Campbell County hit a three to cut it to one point. LCA then pushed it back out to an 8 point win. On another night Campbell County may have just rode the momentum to a win. Any given day, anyone can win, thats why I love high school basketball more than football. More upsets tend to happen, and smaller guys can always compete if they can shoot, pass, and play defense.

LCA pressed the entire game. They shut down the passing lanes and forced alot of turn overs. But the game was called very tightly, on the Camles only. Still should have won the game though.

Sounds like the Camels should have prevailed? Camel's fans will discover that defense will carry you a long way, especially on those nights when the shots aren't falling!!

Yes he starts for the Camels this year, has had decent games but expect he will put it all together soon. A good player.
