Old Soda Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Gotta go with the Colonels, those homers at Boone are flyouts at Champions.
Diamond Dandy Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Gotta go with the Colonels, those homers at Boone are flyouts at Champions. Not the 2 that Krohman hit out the other day...they would have been out of any park. I think it's a close game, but Cov Cath pulls it out. Only problem with close games is anything can happen.
Theoldguy Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Krohman pitched and was hit hard by the CovCath sophomores when the CovCath seniors were not allowed to play in their last game at CovCath. However if not for a poorly played ball by the Boone center fielder and an incredible/outstanding play by CovCath center fielder Nutini, this game would have been much closer. CovCath has beaten Boone County twice this season by scores of 12-0 at Boone (Curtin got the victory) and 10-4 at CovCath (Niehaus got the victory). This game, like most baseball games, will come down to who makes the plays in the field and what pitcher gives up the most walks. Boone does have one advantage, as they have played a lot of games at Champion Window Field but CovCath has played one game at Champion and a lot of games at big fields like Champion. I look for CovCath to move onto the next game but this should be the best game of the day.....
