How many kids tried out for any given high school team this year?

Were the numbers up or down from last year(s)?

Was the talent pool more or less experienced than last year(s)?

We had 28 come out for baseball. One got cut and one quit. We are left with

26, 9 are freshmen and 8th graders, so they will all start, hopefully none of them gets hurt or sick.

Campbell County had 36 for JV and Varsity and 28 for Freshman for a total of 66 for the three teams. The numbers were up, especially for the freshman team and the talent for all three teams looks pretty good.

Soda , any 8th graders try out and make ? Know of a team over there named the Bats , curious if any of them made it . They are a good team .Those numbers are good .

Owen County. Do you think they can compete with Campbell Co. ? Look at the difference in numbers.

I know Scott only cut 5 players from J.V and Varsity total.

Yes , I think they can compete if the talent is good enough . Finding the talent in a small area like that could be tough . Not saying it can't be .If those 8th graders are that good I need to talk to them ESPECIALLY IF THEY PITCH .I could maybe use them .

 

I was surprised when I heard Beechwood did not have alot of kids come out .I know it is a small school but not sure they cut anyone .They are very young also . After the state runner-up one would think everykid would be out there .

East Carter had around 50 at tryouts.

Ryle kept 20 on the varsity, 18 on the JV and 16 on the freshmen for a total of 54 ballplayers in the program. GO RAIDERS

I stand corrected f or f. No eight graders try out. With that many Freshmen its tough making the team, probably some of the kids that don't would be playing on teams at smaller schools. The future for Camel baseball looks bright. 14 on the Varsity, 14 on the JV and 15 on the Freshmen team.

I understand there were about 25 for varsity, but only uniors and seniors were permitted to try out for varsity.
