I wish we could get a crack at Boyle County at home come playoff time. Dennis Griffin Stadium would be rocking. The long drive for Boyle might help our chances too.

I think CCH is in every game this year. The games against talented squads on the schedule- Ryle, Elder, Highlands, Beechwood, and Indy Cathedral will be close scores with the Blue Colonels in the hunt to possibly win each game. All 5 games could be a win or a loss IMO. 5 possible wins/losses/combination of both making their overall record hard to predict. Regarding the uniforms- I do wish they brought back the old logo/unis. Classics.

These kids cannot bet on games if they are actively playing, period. If a kid bets, is a QB, throws a pick to end a contest, everyone will question if the pick was intentional, you catch my drift? He does not have a career in the NCAA nor NFL, IMO. Who would touch him? Maybe the CFL north of the border? No way Tech loses money with lost games, revenue, etc. They have to cut the chord, regardless of talent. What a boneheaded decison this kid made- more times than 1!

Sports are all year around nowadays it seems. Kids are always prepping, at different gyms, etc. It's time for the KHSAA to loosen up.

8/28- OH/KY matchup- The Elder Panthers travel across the river to face Covington Catholic. Via Elder's official atheltics website- Elder has dominated Covington Catholic in the win/loss column, with all W's for the mighty Panthers. Series Summary: 8 games played | Overall Record: 8-0 (100.0%) | Home: 7-0 | Away: 1-0 | Total Points: Varsity Football 261, Covington Catholic 93 The latest matchup last year was an interesting one, with Elder beating Covington Catholic 28-20. I am an obvious homer here, but I think the Colonels may finally put one in the all time series W column this upcoming season. What do you think, @Colonels_Wear_Blue? The annual Beechwood/Highlands rivalry games will also be dandies, as always later in the season. All three games are to be played at Dennis Griffin Stadium, so anytime you have home field advantage, I think that helps to some capacity.
