Doing what he did will get you kicked out of every professional league, but somehow the courts don't think the NCAA should have that power. If the Red Raiders put him on the field for even one play, college sports is officially dead. The Big Ten is already discussing not scheduling Tech in any sport for a regular season game. I'd imagine other conferences will follow.....Even the other Big XII teams are looking into not playing them. Of course Texas Tech could solve all this by telling him to pound sand and just dismiss him....but to they have the spine to do it and deal with the eventual lawsuit? Big East Zebra Posted June 9 Posted June 9 I think for the most part all of us on this forum have a consensus agreement that this is wrong on so many levels; however, here is the question that I think has to be answered. Since the NCAA's ruling was overturned in the court system, what can now save what is left of college sports? We all know our judicial system is broken, and this ruling today further proves that point. I do know the Commissioner of the Big XII is having meeting with those in the Big XII for the possibility of punishing Texas Tech, if they play him in any games, now what that looks like I have no frame of reference. In my mind, enough is enough. I mean this kept the baseball all-time hits leader from the HOF, but yet we are going to allow a kid to play this year. It's just wrong.

Dan Patrick was saying this morning that the Big 12 should take action. He also said that other schools may refuse to play Texas Tech in any sport. Edited June 9 by Voice of Reason

I wonder if the "accelerated appeal" will move it up before the season? And refusing to play Tech, give me a break, all these big schools have skeleton's in the closet.

nkypete Posted June 9 Posted June 9 A question that I have to ask - Is Sorsby really worth all of this trouble? In the UC games that I watched, he was a very good runner and a moderate passer. However, I wouldn't call him Heisman material. 1

The actual court case was scheduled for February, not the appeal. The actual injunction he was just granted basically prevents the NCAA from punishing him until the actual case is heard. The appeal will happen before that February court date, as the appeal will be to get the injunction revoked, so he can’t play until the court date. 1 1
