Good for him, he's without a doubt a very talented athlete that can play at the next level. I know this gets thrown around almost every year; is Boyle the #1 team in KY regardless of class? They bring back most of their starters and add another high level starter to the offense. There can't be that many teams (if any) that can match them on offense.

Reminds me of the Andy Dalton and Joe Flacco teams. The QB is never going to be elite like Mahomes or Burrow, but if you build an elite roster around him you can hope he gets hot at the right time and it turns into a Super Bowl.

That's a good point too. I think the NFL requires teams to average 90% of the cap over a 3 year average.

That's why I will always say that the NFL is the superior entertainment product. There is a sense of parity and competition that simply does not exist in the NBA or MLB. MLB needs a hard salary cap like the NFL to give the small market teams a realistic chance at competing. Otherwise you are likely to get teams like Oakland losing 20 games every month.

It seems silly to give these teams a 'grade' immediately after the draft. There's no way that more than 1/4 of the league's team should receive an A- or better. I'd be more interested in articles that review draft grades 3 or 4 years after the fact to see how many of these picks actually make it in the league.

Nice to see the Bengals' roster in such a good place that they can afford to draft specialists.

I don't know if DE is as deep as it may seem. Ossai and Hendrickson are both UFAs after the '24 season. With big contract extensions looming for Burrow, Chase, Higgins, and Wilson; Hendrickson may be a cap casualty and not be on the team in '24. Recently, the Bengals like to draft a year ahead (Dax Hill) so the writing may be on the wall for Hendrickson.

Easy. Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, Herbert, Rodgers.

It was a good theory. Murphy seems like a pretty good value pick with lots of upside at the end of the 1st round. Now let's see what they do in Round 2. Selfishly, I want to see them trade up and take Mayer for the TE need and NKY connection.

It's great for Lamar that he got paid and is now the highest paid QB ever...but Baltimore what are you doing??? Lamar's not even a top 5 QB in his conference, that and his recent injury history makes this deal seem awful risky.

Duke Tobin's press conference earlier this week made it seem like they would take any player in the first round regardless of position (other than QB, duh) if they thought they could contribute right away. I think they would like to have them playing right away, but Dax Hill really didn't play much as a first rounder last year, so they may be fine with a TE who needs a year to develop.

How much money has he potentially lost by not using an agent in this process though? Probably more than $7.5 million.
