This has been a carousel job for the better part of 15 years. I know somebody probably has specific numbers but it's been a revolving door.

There's talent in the system, so who should we look for to take the reigns in yet another young, Garrard program.

Will be an uphill battle in that district, and losing 4 SRs out of program.  

Tough district for sure. Who will GC look for? 

Great school, even moreso with them having just built a new one in the last few years, new athletic facilities under way, the community really gets behind their athletics and not to mention it's only 30-40 minutes depending on where you live from anywhere in Lexington you want to be. Richmond also a short 25-30 minute drive.

As noted, though- the downside? Your district and region. It's one thing to have one of those stacked against you, it's another when its both. This place has had some good coaches, especially the last two in Cooper and Young. Although their overall records might not show it to those that don't take into consideration just how hard it is to win any at all at some of these more rural, county schools.

Anytime there has been more coaching changes than there has been winning seasons, since, oh, let's say the turn of the century? It's not a good thing- in any ratio/scenario- and what success(es) look(s) like in the eyes of many (unfortunately) as they judge those heading up ball clubs in high school sports, will take some time.

(By my math, I think? There has been 11 coaching changes- 10 coaches if you count Cooper's two stints, and only 5 winning seasons since 00-01? I'm sure I'm off some, so apologies in advance)

Simple answer, poor administration and parent involvement that causes issues for coaches.

Obviously, I don’t know the feeder shape but on a yearly basis the other teams in the district has better players.  Only a handful of times, can I recall Garrard being more “talented” than Lincoln, Boyle or Danville (and now add DCA). 

I would call Josh Hamlin.  Recently, out @ Mercer Co.  Very organized and would do a good job.  Located closely in Harrodsburg too. 

I am hearing the name Micheal Noe and Willie Skeens thrown around. Also hearing Evan Preston is in the mix. All local GC people.

Evan is an alum, who has assistant experience on boys side.  Year 1 for him with girls program was rough, so could see him wanting to slide over.  Don’t know the other two coaching pedigree.

Michael Noe is an alum also. Currently coaching middle school there and has kids coming into the program. 

You all are right about those names, but I'll be honest, there's another name that isn't local that I believe to be the front-runner based off who I have talked to. Stay tuned!

The best thing for GC is to not hire someone within or even local in the county. Heard rumblings already that Kasey McRay (Former Mercer County Assistant and Current Centre College Assistant) has thrown his name in the hat. 
 

Also, not sure when the job will be posted. Maybe someone more familiar with the hiring processes can give an idea on when that job posting should open up. 

Supposedly the new facilities are not happening at GC, anyone else heard this? As for the feeder system it is still far behind the rest of the schools in the area. Tough job for sure. 

The facilities are being worked on daily. The ground is still being prepared currently. Lots of dirt has to be moved.
