Looks pretty fair to me. 2A isn't as lopsided as it was last year. Still say the state title will be one of the Top 3 Teams. Good to see some of these other teams getting a little love. Friday Night lights is here and I'm ready to watch some football.

Green Defensively still has the quick and smothering back feild. The line was decent you could tell they are missing Noah Grey. I think they will get better as the year goes on. Offensively they are 5x better then last year. Hodges will be a kid to keep an eye on. He looked as he had played his whole career. Cheifsmoke and Green coaching staff has put alot of work in. He could be a very dangerous player by his SR Year. Houchens and Seymour looked faster and stronger this year. Ferguson is gonna be hard to handle anywere he is on the feild. I think this team is gonna turn alot of heads this year. Taylor county game at Taylor county will be there Biggest challenge of the season. Should be a good game. Taylor county is big and there strong. The brothers are hard to handle. They somewhat know what to expect from Green. Taylor lacked a passing game and depended on the run as Green county did however last year they couldn't move the ball. I'm gonna be there for this one. It will be one of the best games in the state imo.

I'm not sold that anyone can compete with LCA and Beachwood. Green co has a very athletic class. One of the best running duos in the state. Houchens and Seymour a proven rushers. Mayfeild has a very athletic class. The running back is talented as well as the QB. If Green or Mayfeild continues to improve passing game to go alone with with rushing game they would have a chance to beat anyone with a little luck and near perfect game.

I say the ms players will make an impact this year on this team. They have some studs. I guess a 4 or 5 winning season. They will only get better I'm guessing the next 3 after this season they will be a competitive football team.

2A might be a little more competitive this year. Beachwood Mayfeild LCA still looks to be the top of the crop. Metcalfe should be fairly good. But personally don't think they will be better then the team last year. Murray like green depending on the ground game and both got beat in the same fashion to Mayfeild. Murray will be very competitive and possibly pull a couple upsets this year. Green looks to have been working hard in the off season. They return who I consider 2A most dangerous Duos Backs. SR Houchens and JR Seymour. There backfield has alot of expirence and alot of speed. Can they be two dimensional? Only time could tell. Green could possibly make some noise up in the playoffs. At the end of the day weather they are up or down its gonna be hard to beat the top 3. I'm excited for the start of Friday night lights.

If he can put the team back together. The dragons could be dangerous the next two years. Alot of the team that has played together since little league has a bad taste in the mouth the last two season. If he can pull them together they have potential to make a run. Jody Marr had a travel team with just the JR class and was winning against quality AAU teams and other travel school teams. This class has proven they can win. Hope it's not to late to try to rally the troops

Granted they have some of the best BBQ around. Falcon football you can never underestimate with there coach. He always has something drawn up to put his kids in postion to win. I can see them at least finishing regular season at 5-5

Houchens and Seymour from Green I expect both to have over 1000 yards again this season. I'm sure there coach has had them in the weight room and conditioning with these 7on7. Starks from mayfeild will have to be towards the top of the list. Alot of talent in 2A football.

From what I'm hearing. Green co showed out on the 7v7 at Woodford. Making it to the semis lost to the team that won it all. Sounds like they may be on to something. Not bad for a small 2A school

If your right they could possibly make it past the third round. Mayfield pretty much shut down the run for Green. Green was much one dimensional last season. On the bright side all there running backs can catch. Blake and Jullian can play any postion on the feild. Hopefully these off season camps can improve there over all ability as a team. Hard work will always pay off.

I think your absolutely right. Who wants to play for a loosing football team. Except for you die hard kids. I've heard from some kids they have alot of new comers. Coach Phelps has truly got the kids to buy in. New feild should be done by start of season. If Green can develop a passing game they could truly make it pretty far this year.

They lost alot. But you can never count them out. I look for district being lopsided. Taylor and Green is gonna be the game to watch. Taylor has a good back feild and line. They will only get better. Green and Taylor match up pretty good imo. It will boil down to who wants it more.

Not to shabby. 3 of Greens players from last year squad Darrian Mitchell, Jullian Seymour, and Gage Bell wins state championship in track in the 4x400 relay. They will return 2 of them this year in football. Jake Bishop Jullian Seymour Darrian Mitchell Gage Bell places 7th place in state for the 4x200 relay. Returning 3 of 4 this season. Jullian seymour places 8th in 400m which returns. Jake Bishop places 8th in 110m hurdles which returns. Kelson McKinney wins state championship in discus and 2nd in shotput which returns. Alot of talent on this young dragon team. These kids are putting small town Greensburg on the map. Excited to watch area football this year. Taylor vs Glasgow game is gonna be great. The Green Vs Taylor is gonna be a good game to watch. Bring on the pig skin.

Jullian Seymour from the Green Co. program is a top runner in the 400 m also part of a top 4x2 and 4x4 relay team. He's a RB. Kelson McKinney from the Green Co. program is a top discus and shot in the state. Gage Bale from the Green Co. program. The Smith's from the Taylor Co. program both run.

There running game is off the hook. I don't expect them to loose alot but I do feel as they will loose one or two games and even possibly three. The Green co game will be tough. Glasgow is gonna be another tough game. Spencer will be very competitive.

Toughest games on the board is Taylor and Hart. I could see these guys winning out reg season. Key players offensively Houchens Seymour McKinney Ferguson and Hodges. Hodges 2nd year playing football could be his most productive one. Like to see him used more as QB. Key Players Defensively Houchens Seymour Ferguson Milby McKinney. The SR reset could be a big hit but I do belive they have people that can be moved into them spots to fill the gap. There 8th grade class moving up could be potentially missing pieces needed not counting new players that's gonna show up to play for this new coach. My thoughts are Undefeated Regular Season. They have the best duo running backs in 2A. I expect for both backs to have over 1000 yards rushing again. They have two other backs ready at any time needed in McKinney and Bale. One of the most Athletic Back Feilds in 2A. District is gonna be one sided. Defensively they will grow all season. This team is gonna be exciting to watch. If this team can develop a passing game they could make a potentially run against the usual top 4 teams.

Green co Returns alot of players this coming year. Both 1k rushers will return Houchens will be SR Seymour Will be JR McKinney Will be JR QB Ferguson will be SR. Freshman QB Hodges will be sophomore he has potential to be a great QB. I see green up for a few years.

I would have to say the Dynamic Duo 1k Rushers From Green co. Blake Houchens will be SR next Year and Jullian Seymour will be JR next year.

I can't wait to watch this game tomorrow night. Green The #2 Rushing team vs Mayfield the #3 Rush defense and # 4 Team Defense. Mayfield the #8 passing team and #18 rushing team vs #6 pass defense and #5 rush defense #1 in sacks #2 Team Defense. I still think it's too early to think about next week. For the ones that say they are not good enough we shall see. I'm almost positive that this will be a close game. If the dragons are able to unleash the run attack on Mayfield Green will pull the upset in this game. I was always taught not to count my chickens before they hatch. 10 point computer Generated model is pretty close to say they could be a upset in the air.

This wouldn't be the first time this team has been down by 3 or more scores. Green against metcalfe first game was down 3 scores and kelpt grinding putting them self with potential to tie with a two point conversion. These boys seem to have heart and a never quit attitude. I think honestly it comes down to if Green is able to run and control the clock they have a good chance to win. With three backs and a QB that all are capable of breaking big plays on the ground. I feel this team has more tanleted and coachable guys then what alot of people give them credit for. Coach Phelps is a great coach I'm sure he will put them in postion to get them ready for possibly pulling the upset.

I don't see Mayfield being unbeatable. Murray proved that a few weeks ago. I'm thinking this game will be closer then some might think. Green co looked good Friday night. Mayfield got the win Friday night and got revenge on Murray. Mayfield is a little better balanced then green. Key of the game is gonna be TOP. If Green can keep Mayfield offence off the feild they will have a good chance at pulling the upset. Congrats to Green on the great season but it's not over yet. Im gonna pick Green by 2

I was almost dead on with my prediction of score spread. This was probably the best over all performances from Houchens and Seymour offensively and Defensively. Team looked good. Played like the team from early in the season. I got the opportunity to come watch and it was cold and rainy. Seemed like just as many Green co fans as Metcalfe. Seems like this team is peaking at the right time. Good luck next week when you guys take that long journey.
